Security said he was gonna write up a report and all this, took a picture of my ID from work. Ugh, all I wanted was to help them and he was looking at me like I was some kind of crazy lady... maybe I am. But I got them out.

You know if he "writes up a report" and shows it to someone he will have to explain how he let you plug your shop vac into the fountain. I don't think that will go well for him.

This story has me laughing and angry at the same time! Humans can really make my stomach turn with how they treat animals. They would've just saw them and walked away letting them all die!

You guys are amazing and thank you for being that little difference in this world!

@Raenh deserves most of the credit. She got them out while battling a wannabe cop. If we were closer(an hour and a half each way) the battle would have been different. I don’t think he would have treated a man that way and second, there would have been three people calling local tv stations. My wife is good at that. When we were flooded a few years ago the cable company wanted to charge us 500 dollars for the boxes. One call to TV station took care of that. Also, all that was on the news that week was the damage and clean up of the well to do neighborhood a mile away. Our trash and construction material were piling up here. The snakes were all in it. They aired an interview of my wife Friday evening. By noon Saturday all trash was picked up.

Those can't be more than a couple days old, what a traumatic way to start life. Luckily ducklings are resilient, and will have a great home now. You guys are amazing!

I believe one is three days old and the rest are two. He/she is acting like a protector. Anytime I go into the room it is on top of their pile and gives me the eye while the others are sleeping. We introduced them to the waterer but they are exhausted and just want to sleep.I think they will be okay but I worry that the momma duck will take the other 7 with her while looking for them and more will fall in.

I cannot believe they survived at least 6 hours in water at that age. I kept calling Raenh on the way down there making sure they were alive as we kept going.we had a cool front last night that I believe made it that far south. We did not get above 69 f here today.
