Emergency! Babies in storm drain! Update: They are safe!

@Texag87 is coming to help, I got kicked off the hospital property and hope I dont get fired because security was saying I wasn't allowed on property anymore. Dude was almost insinuating I put them down there.

wanna Be a Cop Weighs in. Ridiculous! Real cops maybe?

I got all five, but the momma and her other babies are still there somewhere. She was hanging around the pond, but when I started trying to help the fallen ones, she took the other babies to hide somewhere. I didn't see her again after I started trying with my crazy cargo net idea. Hopefully she keeps them away from that grate.
It really needs hardware cloth over it or something with smaller holes so the babies don't fall in.

He threatened to call the sheriff on me if I wasnt done soon, but he did let me finish getting the last one out. *shrugs*

He was lying. He had plenty of time to call the sheriff and if he thought he needed to he would have. After all you were "stealing" their electricity, right? I think he didn't want to consider how much a jerk he looked by then. The sheriff would have laughed their butts off, i think.

@Jpat you are a genius . @Raenh got them out before we could there. We met her down the road from the hospital, put them in the car and turned up the heat. Half an hour later they were dry. We just got home a little while ago and set up all the brooder stuff we put up a week ago. All five are alive and one is especially feisty .

@Miss Lydia , is there anything we need to do different with these ducklings ? I did not pay much attention to information about Scovys since I never intended to have any. Emergency rations tonight is crushed dog food soaked in water. We gave the lady that took the last ducklings from us all our feed last week..
