I just found my girl Buttercup like this. She is acting completely fine just like her normal self. What do I do? Her ear is completely gone A7517012-D212-454F-B46C-81B4B2C1173C.jpeg F0C4FAF1-0226-4CBC-BDCC-069C23DA3A16.jpeg

    Where did you find her?
    Do you have local predators?
    Do you have rooster/s?
    How old is she?
    How bad is the bleeding?
Have you ever had something like this before?
    If so, how long ago?
    How are the other hens?
Are there any tracks or footprints outside?

Texas Kiki Don't lie. Don't cheat your way through life.

Wash up the blood and put some antibacterial ointment on it.
Keep her away from the others until she heal so they don't peck her to death.

I went to go close up the coop after my chickens went in to roost. I was checking on them and found her. I haven’t looked around for evidence yet. I’m mainly concerned with what to do with her

I just put saline spray on her. Should I still wash her up?

Isn’t really bleeding. She’s 1 and a half years old. I’ve never had something like this happen before. The other hens are fine.

@KikisGirls gave good advice and you could put her on Apple Cider Vinegar, Oregano and Garlic Powder in her water to help with any chance of infection.

I would try to get the blood off.
    She should recover just fine.
Go see if anyone else is hurt.
Do you think another chicken did this or do you think you have some predator out there?
    Go look.

Would I try bandaging something like this up?
