We treated what we could last night. We are going to triple treat the house with mite smoke, then bleach, then pouder. No mite shall live!!!

Did you get some permethrin to treat the hens?

If you are going to use bleach and a smoke bomb - make sure your bleach solution dries well, there's plenty of ventilation and your chickens are not in the housing and far away as possible.

I will. We are keeping them out of the house till this is resolved.

You were right! I went out this night and noticed a discolored area. It was completely filled with red mites.

Glad I could be of help! Red mites come out only and night and suck the blood of the chickens.
