EMERGENCY! egg bound!!!

@Nabiki and @007Sean are much better sources of information than me, but here goes my two cents.
For the reasons that you outline, I would personally avoid the NSAIDs and antibiotics. I wouldn't want to give her anything that would make her eggs unusable for 8 weeks after the treatment. I'd keep her in the dark for a while to reduce the likelihood of her laying and monitor her eating/drinking/pooping. Continue offering NutriDrench water, but also offer plain water in a separate container. The feed combination you're using seems good to me, but maybe she has issues absorbing the calcium as provided in that feed. I'd get some calcium citrate powder to add, just in case.
@007Sean, @Nabiki , @CliftonQuail,
Just a thought... I'm not a fan of GMO SOY (to put it mildly!... full of Glyphosate!); it seems to be the main source of protein in the majority of Game Bird feeds. Could very well contribute to absorption issues. so what do you guys think of this feed...

Sorry, this is the one for layers...

They both are fine.

It appears that the first feed isn't available in my area, but it looks great if you're willing to pay a dollar a pound for feed (25 pound bag is $24.99 on TSC).
The second feed looks good, though I prefer a higher protein level. It's even available at nearby TSC and might be worth looking into.

Yes, super expensive, not doable for folks with large flocks Im sure.
This is a OLD post I found, but good info...

Here is a slightly outdated list of feeds.
It may help you in your search...it may not.

Notice the tabs at the bottom of the sheet...the different type of feeds.
Links to all feed are in the name of the feed in row 4.

I would start moving her over to a game bird maintenance feed and offer her calcium on the side. The calcium citrate is for quick absorbtion, so oyster shell or crushed egg shell should be fine as a calcium source.

She should be completely on game bird maintenance feed by the time she's about 12 weeks old.

I would keep an eye on her and only give her the antibiotics if she looks like she's starting to get sick or you see signs of infection. The anti inflammatory might not be a bad idea, especially if she doesn't take a break from laying.

It may be ok? Only thing about it is corn...you can have organic corn but there is no non GMO Corn!...maybe on the Hopi and Zuni reservations but none is grown commercially....same is true of SOY, too!

The Methionine is a little low at 0.40% but the Lysine is good at 1.65%. The reason manufactures of feed are not using it or not adding enough to the feed rations is because of cost!

Another bad thing that is going on and some may think I'm a conspiracy theorist :lau but they have been adding MRNA components into feed....lowers productivity, hinders reproduction, and weakens chicks by altering genes....I suggest you do your own research and see what I'm talking about here!
I have my feed custom milled, so I don't have to worry about getting something I don't want in my feed.

@Nabiki ..Thank you for that info; she is actually going to be 12weeks old in one week.
I just ordered an organic maintenance feed & I have oyster shell grit. Do you dry the egg shells in the oven?
The only concern I have about how she is doing is frequent liquid poop, but I'm hoping this is a result of all the fluid they injected into her at the vet last night. It was the last thing they did before I brought her home. I questioned whether is was necessary, but they told me what she didn't absorb would just come out in her poop.
Thankfully she did not lay an egg today. 🤞

Thank you @007Sean for your feedback... You are so right! And corn is air pollinated so the GMO corn is found everywhere now, even in Organic fields! You are NOT a conspiracy theorist! I knew they were adding MRNA components into cattle & pig feed, so it makes sense that they would do it to poultry feed too. :barnie
Wish I could have my feed custom milled. But I'm going to do the best I can.
I know you can give alfalfa sprouts to provide the B12 they need and I just learned that offering eggs and sunflower seeds boosts their Methionine intake.

Yeah, I feed white heart sunflower seeds to all my birds, everyday, 1 handful per pen....although I may stop doing that...it's getting rather expensive now!
