EMERGENCY! I don't know what I've got, but something is WRONG!

A drop of "Rescue Remedy" can't hurt. Really helps in recovery from shock/trauma.
Probably needs a bit of "wait and see" time. Concussions can show impeded brain function for up to 4 days. Then the animal (even people) act like nothing ever happened...
Good luck!

Rescue Remedy? What is it? And where can I get it? Has anyone had experiences using it?

You can get Rescue Remedy at any health food or herbal supply store. If you don't have one nearby, you can get it online. It's made with flower essences, but believe me, it's great stuff. I use it whenever one of my critters gets traumatized. It's best used ASAP and really seems to speed recovery. It is actually made for humans, so the dose you give a critter is about 1 drop. People use it for almost any kind of stress relief. It has a very calming effect, but not like a drug.
The maker is "Bach". It is also available "for pets", but the ingredients appear to be the same. I googled it.

I have had two chickens that have been hurt and both recovered fine. One fell off of a wood pile when he was pretty little and the other just this month.( no clue what happened) The last one was really bad, she just layed on her side all the time. I brought her in and gave her poly-vi-sol vitamins(no iron) in her mouth at first, then in her water. She finally started bracing herself against the brooder and walking, and now she is outside with no signs of ever being hurt! I really thought she was going to die, but they can heal really fast! I hope yours gets better soon! Don't give up, sometimes it seems worse than it is!

There has been no change in her condition. She is still eating and drinking which is good, and she tries to move. She manages to scoot herself to turn around to get to the food and water but she still can't stand.
Sometimes she pushes so hard on her legs that she flips right over, end over end. I felt again yesterday to see if I could feel a break, but I can't tell. My concern now is that maybe it's a back injury? Could she recover from something like that?

And I heard something about there being trouble if and when I reintroduce her? Should I be doing something to prevent this?

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed now, like I got in over my head or something. I read everything I could and researched but I still feel like I'm "winging" it (Pardon the pun.) when it comes to these birds. There seems to be so many ways that it could all go wrong and I question everything I'm doing with them right now. Bah.

I don't know. I haven't really investigated because we honestly can't afford it. Vet care for "regular" pets doesn't come cheap, let alone special ones. I have a friend though with the OSPCA that may be able to at least come and have a look at her, I don't know how much help she'll be but at this point, we're desperate.
