I have two ducklings with signs of DHV (duck hepatitis) Ive had a few die over the last few days and all signs point to that.. I have them wrapped in towels with a heater on them and a heat bag under them.. I keep trying to hydrate them but is there any chance they will survive? there isnt heaps of info about how to help? I had one that I kept alive all day and it died overnight and she even showed signs of improving. I have no phone as my stupid iphone doesnt work and no car, i tried to email my local vet with no reply... Im really distressed please someone help..................................................

Thankyou, I have been reaching out for hours at least trying to get something from anyone.. I hope I can too, im just hoping if I keep there body temperature high enough it might help...

no, one just died :( I have them on a heat bag wrapped in some warmed towels..

Do you have a heat lamp or anything? If there is any healthy ones I'd put them in a box with a heat lamp and try to keep germs from traveling from the sick ones to them. Sorry about them dying! Wish I could help more!

Yes two healthy ones, I have moved them into the bathroom with the heat lamps on for now, Ive been doing a little more research and there is a slight chance that this one sick one will survive but can still shed the disease after 8 weeks. This is crazy, I am so determined to keep this last sick one alive i will do whatever it takes and wont leave her by herself, she is looking up now I have her eating and drinking and she can sit up straight but i guess the battle is just beginning.

Before I realised they were infected when only one had died I revived one and got him healthy again and put him back out, I feel so responsible for not being able to save them for not doing something sooner :( thankyou just having someone to talk me through a little has really helped.
