EMERGENCY! Rooster needs help to keep surviving

So step 1 “call the police/SPCA” is done, now you can concentrate on healing your Roo... I have no advice as I am new to chickens, but am wishing you all the best with him! There are many people here with much knowledge and experience to help you.

I’m also wishing very, very foul things at your neighbors and anyone who thinks that kind of cruelty is ok or entertaining. I hope they are arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and banned from animal ownership forever (this is the kindest of my wishes for them!)

Good luck, breathe deeply and stay calm, so you can better help and comfort your boy!

Thank you so much and now he is just sitting down I hope he is not just passing away but sleeping

How in the world did they get your roo? Did they open your pen or coop and take him? Stealing plus animal abuse? Poor thing how long did they have him and how did you get him back? Sure hope he recovers. Keep him in a quiet place and offer him some tepid water with electrolytes or Nutri drench. Don’t let him have water with out supervision if he can’t hold his head up. If you have Veterycin for wounds and infection would be good to use since it can safely be used around the eyes.

Let him rest.
Would be best if he could sit down and have something to rest his head on at a normal height in relation to his body.

Is he still panting that hard?
Is it hot or cold where you live?
You want to keep him warm but not too warm.

Once he stops panting.....
Another way to get fluid into him is soak a Qtip and hold it against the side of his beak,
some will wick into his mouth and he should swallow. Stroke under his beak and the front of his neck to stimulate swallowing.

Omg! Your neighbors are sick!

Clean him up as best as you can and keep him inside where he is warm and comfortable. Give him a thorough check, looking for puncture wounds, etc. Offer him some scrambled eggs, electrolytes and fresh water. I am sure he is in absolute shock!

I certainly hope he pulls through......:fl
Best of luck! Bear hugs to you both! :hugs
How do I make the scrambled eggs? Is it just the egg or do I add oil and salt or just the egg and salt or is it just the eggs scrambled
