Well.. It looks like I'm in
I'm going to incubate at a lower temp this time around .. so my incubation will take a bit longer than everyone else's.


Time to go fire up the bators to get temps regulated.. plus I need to get a new battery for my scales!

I got mine sitting at ~96.6, close as I could get to 96 without going below it at night. Probably gonna have to drop it a notch in the coming weeks once they start getting bigger though.

I'm aiming for 95.5.. I'll see how stable I can get the incubator temps since our temperatures outside have been fluctuating a bunch.. it's been 75 and sunny one day.. 40 the next.. one nights at 50 and the next at 25... grr

I got 3 more eggs in the mail. They are egg 6, egg 7 and egg8. Egg 7 is such a pretty color - sky blue with white clouds I call it. Was told that these colored eggs did hatch for the seller last year, so she included one for me to try.

i'm getting a light colored one too! Not sure how much (if any) white it has.. she just described it as being "a pale color, not the normal emerald color"

sorry about the egg issues

I have 4 coming from her and 4 coming from Heston, Kansas
The Kansas eggs will be here today .. and IF you can believe tracking her eggs should be here tomorrow. Sometimes our tracking is way off though (anything that processes through Austin has a chance of sitting there for DAYS even though it's less than a 2 hour drive from here)... grr

She did tell me that the eggs she's sending to me were just laid (she even had to wait for one to be laid in order to fill my order).. so whatever you get from her should be really fresh too since she's filling orders as soon as the girls lay the eggs.
Now as to what the postal service does to them is another matter entirely. I have never had an egg from California hatch (always scrambled beyond any hope or rotten).. so hopefully my luck with them will change with her eggs

I believe egg 1 & 5 are moving. When I wistled each one moved a tiny bit or my eyes are playing with me LOL. I hope they are moving!
