It's funny the little one doesn't want to give me up for bed time LOL. She is walking with her eyes closed chirping away really loud. If I hold her she falls asleep ASAP if I put her down she does it all over again LOL. I think she is spoiled already

She just started walking today and she is starting to eat and drink too. Will have more pictures coming. Still have 6 eggs in the incubator too.

Yeah Gerry was the same way, so I'd let him sleep with me for a few hours then he'd stand up sometime in the night and it'd wake me up so I'd put him back in his cage and he'd be quiet until morning.

Those are some cute emus :3 i have two emu eggs in my incubator, at a temperature of 37.5degrees celsius, and a relative humidity of about 50%. i'm worried both parameters are too high. The eggs have been incubating since the 4th and 8th of january, and the incubator is homemade, i buitl it myself with bulbs and a microcontroller. I read that you can tell if an egg is growing healthily if it tends to roll to one side when placed on flat ground. Mine always do this so i assumed they are doing well... Is it good if i stop turning on day 42?

Nope.. a rotten egg will also roll to one side and stay there.. so will an infertile especially if the membrane has pulled away from the shell.
For temp. you should want something closer to 35.5 to 36.5 ºC (95.5 to 97.5 ºF)... and unless you are out in the middle a desert that 50% humidity is way too high... did you weigh the eggs before setting them?.. if not I would pull out any water you have in there or you risk having bloated or even dead chicks

how long have they been incubating?

Dear god im in trouble... One of them has been incubating since the 4th of january, and the other since the 8th... I removed the water and im going to reduce the temperature to 36degrees celsius... I hope its not too late

To be safe, I'll leave the thermostat at 35.5 degrees from now on, and i will start to check the weights of the eggs to see how water they're losing... Again i seriously hope i havent killed both chicks... The controller i use is the STC-1000
