***Emu Hatch Cam update I decided to help. it was a mistake!

Did the other one start pipping before you helped it? Are you gonna make an air hole if it doesn't pip soon? Because if the other one was pipping then I'd think that the other would be ready. I'd hate for it to die so close!

The other did not pip. There was a yoke sack about the size of a small chicken egg that still had to be absorbed. I'm not sure if I'm going to do anything I don't want to screw this one up too. My kids would kill me.

Has anyone seen it move today? I've been busy at work and haven't been able to watch longer than a few seconds at a time.

I just found this thread today. I have been watching for a while and I sometimes swear I see it move. But yeah I have no idea if it is my eyes playing tricks on me.

Aww, I hope it hatches for you and your kids! That would be so nice!!! Btw do you have the pointed end at the top or is it to large for your bator this way? If not, they could be drowning in their own fluids from what I've read about eggs and how they should be setting.

Thanks for that info, I learned something new today

! It makes sense to place those extra jumbo emu eggs on their side since the hens would not be able to do the same in the nest as well as others with fat end up. I read what I had mentioned earlier and can't remember what site it was on.

Came to check on the egg, the camera must be down. I will check back later. Hoping to see it move today.
