It was up an hour ago when I left.

I'll have to restart when I go home for lunch.

I'm gonna laugh if it hatches while the camera is down! come on little guy! Maybe hes just camera shy...I'd hate to miss it, but if it means he hatches that would be great. lol if these don't hatch, are you gonna do it again? I wish my LG was bigger so I can hatch one...its been so exciting.

Yeah I'll give it one more try. I'm thinking I might hand turn the next time. 50 days is just so long.

We might have to buy some cool chicken eggs off ebay. Maybe some Bantom or Silky's. That way my boys won't have to wait so long to see some chicks.

back up.

If you see it move please post. I'm about ready to through the towel in.

Don't they say the float test works on all eggs? why don't you float test it, and see if it's still good?

I was thinking about doing another float test. I was a little worried that he may have pipped the internal membrane and that i could hurt it somehow.

I was reading on the Emu threads and they say you can tell if it has pipped the inner membrane by tapping on it. It is supposed to have a different sound than one with an intact membrane. Could you tap on the dud egg and this egg and see if they sound different or would that not work?? I also wanted to add that I float test my quail eggs as long as they don't have any external pipps and they do fine. I know nothing about Emu eggs, but I wonder if it would be fine to float test as long as the shell is intact?? Just trying to help.

Ok tomorrow day 56. Come on chick pip.

I say put a hole in the big end so it can breath because i think its having trouble hatching and it might be the only way to save it.
