Emu pictures and stories.... post them here

Hello, I was wondering on what is the reletive time emus lay eggs in Michigan. I have seen many posts plus I have read up on emus a lot and so far I believe the breeding/laying season is November-March or April. So I was just wondering if emus still lay eggs in this cold. Michigan winters can be pretty awful with temps ranging anywhere from -15F or colder but can be as warm as 35F. I am only asking because I know there are a few breeders around me and I am looking into hatching a few chicks out.(I have done my reaserch and am well aware of what I am getting myself into.)

I've already posted a similar question about emus. I got a very good answer too, but I was wanting someone that lives closer to me just so I make sure I don't miss the emu breeding season.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is Daryl. I'm on day 52 and he has internally pipped. I heard the first peep around 9 pm eastern time. I'm a little worried because he's 13 g overweight but I guess only time will tell. Fingers crossed!!!
