Encouragement for New Hand Quilters! My VERY First Quilted Item (humiliating myself here, LOL)

Thanks, I agree it was really perfect for the border here. And I want more of that series! I'm about 2/3 finished quilting the wallhanging, but had to quit for the night. My back is screaming at me to take a break.

Good morning! Wind is howling, flurries are flying, birds are not getting outside today, and I plan to get everything done on this wallhanging except maybe the border by nightfall. I do hope to finish the entire quilt except for maybe the binding by the end of the weekend. Going to set eggs in the bator later on today, too.

We don't have flurries, but yesterday was almost 80 and it's about 60 right now and windy. And I have to finish that pen. I have to wire the ceiling and fix the door frame, and my 3 -11 week olds can have some room-without fear of hawks. Oops! This is a quilt thread, LOL

Can i come and live at your place,a corner in the coop would be fine,Snowing here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

60 and windy would be awesome right now. Here, we're about 20*, wind howling, flurries becoming bigger flakes. Of course, when we have this kind of wind, we have power outages and I picked this date to set eggs. Swell.

ETA: It's after 5 p.m. Will be around 10* tonight with windchills of 0-2*. I have most of the wallhanging quilted. Need to do the remaining three corner squares, border and binding.

Here is the backing:

OH oh oh oh !!!! I will be so lucky to get that wall hanging. I gotta find the perfect spot for it.

It's beautiful!

Well, if you're sure you like it....

I have two of the corner motifs finished, but had to quit to rest my back. By the end of tomorrow, I should have the border finished and maybe will be into the binding, or at least, I'll have it cut out and ready to put on. I really like this one. It has some of the same fabrics, but many that are different than the original, most obviously the border fabric, which I really love. Pictures don't do it justice, IMO.

With sun streaming in the window, from this angle you can see the quilting-it's hard to show it otherwise. Will finish the remaining two corners and border today. It's a bit wrinkled from being in the hoop and manhandled, so ignore that, please.
