End of May 26-31 hatchalong update with pics

We have 7 not including me.

So how is everyone doing on temps so far? Read that one should open incubator to let temp drop a bit for a few minutes once a day to suggest hen getting off eggs to eat. Is any one doing this? I have to in the afternoon when it get warm in cubator room.

My temps are holding rock steady in the new 1588 I just got. This will be my first hatch in this incubator and only my 3rd ever hatch!

Thats good to hear. Mine are holding steady today since I agjust the toggle switch again. I had mine set to 6 went back to 5. With AC on that is perfect.

Soo I definitely have more eggs than room in the incubators right now. 5 extra eggs to be exact....oh dear....guess it really is time to build our incubator...oh Hunter...lol

my Polish due on 5/21 I have all 17/17 currently with veins and movement

Okay, so I was candling one egg today and noticed a small hairline crack in it but it is still developing. So what should I do?

Nothing notable with mine. I'm planning on candling tomorrow night. Kind of excited to see what is developing and kind of nervous!

Mrs. Brown - last hatch I cracked (big dent and cracks) an egg at 8 days and duct taped it. I had problems with my ventilation and no one hatched but it was a fully developed chick so the crack wasn't a problem.

buttercup0884 - I am so envious of the Polish. I want to hatch some of my own but I was told to wait until they were at least a year old to hatch their eggs - I have a couple months to wait.

My temp is holding steady right at 100 degrees so far. I am on day 7 of 23 days. Just hoping that everything comes out okay.

I will not be candleing this time. My main concern is humidity here. We tend to be low humidity 40% and down. So I am paying attenion to that real close.

Can I join? Mine are due on 5/30. I have 13 in my Brinsea ECO 20. Mostly Weslumer and Buff Orpington. This is my second time hatching!!
