only the shadow knows.....
MODERATORS is it possible to put an end to these graphic posts which are including the pictures of dead animals.

I understand ones desire to protect their flock but I don't think it is necessary to post pictures and have a post regarding the kill go on for days, days, and more days.

Coyotes, hawks, bobcats, snakes, and dogs all have a purpose. We don't need to hear all the gruesome details of the the headless, gutless bodies lying around or how someone "blasted it's headoff". We've got enough violence in this world without having to come in here and read about it as well.

Guess what, all those listed above kill less chickens every year than people do but we are not displaying the dead remains of those people who have killed them on the boards!!!

I thought we were all here to talk about chickens not to display our hunting trophies on the wall!

I agree with what you said. We are her to talk about chickens. But do we not have enough other things to do that to try to cause problems. If you dont like to look at graphic pictures dont look at them. Just do not click on it. If it is possible to keep them off this site that would be great but either way we do have a choice.

Thank you! I am also sensitive to these things and I believe such negativity does not have a home on a chicken/fowl community regardless of how the animal afflicted the flock.

I believe we all have the power to NOT click on a thread and read it if you have some objection to the contents. As long as the thread is clearly marked as containing a "graphic" picture, I think they should be allowed to post.
Will we censor post-mortem pictures? How about pics of chickens that have been wounded, etc.? Beware the slippery slope...

I am finding that not all posts with graphic pictures are labeled "graphic", I would agree with CoyoteMagic that these photos really do not have redeming qualities and are not in the general spirit of the community.

This needed to be sent to a moderator privately then not posted for everyone to see...Posting like this leaves you open for people to give you their opinions.......
