Well, I was right on #1 and #2. Those were bound to be male. #4 I thought pullet and #3 could go either way. Looking at the bird now, that's a lot of red, but that is a very feminine head and such round, sappy little eyes. It's so much red, I'd almost say the comb and wattles are flushed with blood. Is it particularly warm where you are or was the bird stressed before being photographed? If this bird was mine, I'd be leaning hard towards pullet, although it is unusual for female English Orpingtons to develop so much.1 and 2 are definitely cockerels, and 4 turned out pullet but I’m still wondering about this one #3
Oh, indeed. Definitely boys and a little pullet. I'd say #3 should be more like #4 in terms of development. Here’s pictures of my other 3, the 2 males are pretty obvious.
You did this on purpose. lol However, when you summon me to the playing field I get to pick two cards from my deck and I choose @Faraday40 and @homeschoolin momma to join me. With three English Orpington breeders summoned at the same time, we can actually change the biological sex of a chicken if we are wrong.
Lol #3 is definitely bigger than one of the males, I wouldn’t say the legs are huge but this one has always stood out for being the fatty one haha, I did think it had more of a female shape but the red coloring has thrown me off, we are in Florida so it’s always hot but it was not stressed. Here are more pics of the other puller and smaller male.Well, I was right on #1 and #2. Those were bound to be male. #4 I thought pullet and #3 could go either way. How do the legs and feet compare to the known cockerels and the known pullet? IMO the males have much thicker legs and bigger feet and can be a bit clumsier at that age. Although, I know someone who can shatter that little theory/observation of mine. I'll summon her shortly.

Just to clarify, In the most recent pics, there's # 3, the other pullet and the smaller maleLol #3 is definitely bigger than one of the males, I wouldn’t say the legs are huge but this one has always stood out for being the fatty one haha, I did think it had more of a female shape but the red coloring has thrown me off, we are in Florida so it’s always hot but it was not stressed. You said almost word for word, what I did at the beginning.Well, I was right on #1 and #2. Those were bound to be male. #4 I thought pullet and #3 could go either way. I'm thinking it is as well.
I roll a Nat 20 for intuition and say it's a pullet.
Legs are not huge but I have a male that is also not as big - so hard to compare, this one is sweeter then the two males but not as sweet as the pullet although it does come to me and jumps on me randomly whereas the 2 males have never done so before, so I’ll post update pictures in another 2 to 3 weeks! This is a tough one. Face says feminine. Comb and wattles say boy. I would also say what do legs look like as well as behavior. Right now, I'm leaning male.
