enlarging pics within a post?

To our esteemed moderators: Within the new system, is it still possible to click on a photo to enlarge it? In the old system, we were able to post pics in either of two sizes, (I think), and, if the smaller size was chosen in the original post, the viewer could click on it to enlarge it. (Yes?) I am finding that I am now sitting much closer to my computer screen, while simultaneously holding my glasses in such a position as to better use my bi-focals, a I am still not "getting the picture." Admittedly, part of the problem is my eyes...but I'm scheduled for my annual eye check-up on Monday

. I have been touring the new system and playing with the new toys, but I haven't stumbled across the magnifying glass yet. Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: It depends on how the picture was loaded. If someone uses our built-in upload tool, then this is what happens:

1. A copy of the picture is resized to 600 pixels wide and posted into the forum
2. The full size version is then available by clicking on the resized image shown on the page
3. For really big pictures you can usually do a third level of size by right clicking the image from level 2 above and do "view image" or similar

I evidently have a second question......how to copy/paste an example of one thread into another? I was looking at a post from yesterday(?) in the pictures of my chickens forum, thread title is something like,"some random pics of my flock." There are about a dozen pics posted, some with children, etc., and the pics are all about the size of a kid's wallet sized school photo. When you scroll over them, the little pointing finger icon does not appear, and right-clicking doesn't offer an option to magnify. The examples you cited worked exactly as I remember the old system did, but these don't seem to want to play the same game. Is it just because of how they were uploaded in the original post? In any case, thanks for the reply. I am still enjoying the site.....my family would say " too much!"
