Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Mostly. Just the normal daily stuff to do - feed animals, scoop cat & rabbit litter pans & so on.

I also needed to clean ash out of the fireplace this morning. That's done. Paid bills this morning already.

I do have to run to the grocery store later - need to get some soda & snacks for tonight.

We are getting flurries here. I hope it doesn't get nasty out there.

Raymond just left for the city with F and his sister for the day. I told them to watch out for the storm, its usually worse there.

The dogs and I are just hanging out. I worked my butt off yesterday so I can just putter around today. Kenny is at work but should be home fairly early. Sounds like the boys will be here this evening to work on a truck. So I better have some supper ready, or at least handy!

You ladies need to see what I bought this afternoon. I found an antique table at the thrift shop down the road. It's a short table -- coffee table height, but round like a dining room table. The top swivels & it has small wheels to move it. Someone had stripped the finish and let the wood dry out quite a lot, but had never refinished it. The wood looked dull & was pretty dry as a result, and it didn't look like much. It had a water stain that showed up worse because of it (not large) too and looked pretty rough. Well, I instantly saw the promise in it. That baby is about a hundred years old, I suspect...maybe more. For a whopping total of $14.96 it got loaded in my car and came home with me. I had to unload that baby by myself, but managed okay (because it's round and has wheels.) Within the hour it had been wiped down and had been finished with wood oils. It's now in my living room getting ready to get used tonight with my guests here. Yeah baby! It's fine looking! It has some natural distress from a century of use but nothing bad enough to make it ugly. This is the kind of stuff I like.

ROFL I know that when people come over to my place it's decorated more like what a granny's house would be like. Don't care. I like my antique books, my antique tables, my antique library chair, brass figurines, shells, and wood carvings.
wink.png
It's not the perfect piece for my living room -- doesn't quite look right there. It may get relocated but it's STAYING HERE cause I like it, ROFL.

Algo & our friend in Hawaii?
wink.png
Neither have been here today, though.
wink.png

Let's see...

Algo--still expecting her second son (her little boy is absolutely adorable) and still working hard at her P.O. job and at home

Our Hawaii friend (can't remember the name, sorry
hide.gif
)--Is probably enjoying much more beautiful weather than most of us and hasn't checked in today because she is either still cleaning up after her hubby's card game the other night or off disposing of the body.

There. Did I get it all?

hey all
frow.gif
wow took me 18 pages to catch up and i agree sort of like days of our lives, but funnier!!

dont worry i did not kill the hubby although i would have no trouble disposing of the body, lots of gulches to nowhere and 100+' cliffs! he was in a bit of trouble and made good cleaning and doing dishes yesterday! i have been busy busy trying to catch up on the laundry - washed most of it -
he.gif
now i have a zillion loads to fold and put away! i hate the folding and putting away - i will wash laundry all day but then it just sits in the basket, gets dumped out on the bed to find clothes then back in the basket at night
th.gif

also i have been out enjoying the weather. yesterday was so warm and nice. today clear and cold, but the sun is shining and the mountain has a bunch of snow from last night! looks amazing.. i would upload pics but the thing wont cooperate!
barnie.gif

i have been having my own days of our lives here lately and thats why i have not checked back in a few... i did the total coop clean out yesterday - i love it when its nice and clean
wee.gif
and we cant find DHs 2 bodyboards anywhere and suspect they were stolen from our driveway at night while we were home
somad.gif
we have an open storage area under the house and his expensive one was sitting right at the front - we forgot to turn the light off that night - and now they are gone! also today i was looking for the drill to do some stuff and i cant find that either! last place i remember leaving it was right next to the board! i am PIS SED !!! we are actually considering moving partly bc of this. we have for years said we were going to move to Kauai to spend the rest of our life and even though it is only a few islands away i feel like it is so far! we have moved across the country from the mainland to hawaii before we were together, then from hawaii to the mainland and back as a family - but now moving with 2 kids seems overwhelming to me, and i will have to get rid of my chickens and start over
hit.gif
i think this might be why i dont want to move to another island. cant we just move to another place on THIS island and go to Kauai for vaca??
barnie.gif
if only $$ grew on trees, i could move to kauai and take all the chickens with us! i guess either way it is inevitable we will move somewhere in the next 6 months so i would like some of rozzies energy sent my way please!

Aloha ladies

Good Sunday Morning to you all.

Have actually had a decent weekend. cold as all get out, but a nice weekend.

My DSD's boyfriend is in from Montana, and I am loving her showing off her domestic ability. the house is staying clean (which is usually one of our biggest battles) dishes are being put up after supper. I think I might keep her. Plus one other thing -- she is a hypochondriac to a certain extent, I have only heard her complain a few times -- ah she's been healed.

No for a kind of rant -- we have this friend and it was his birthday Friday, so i called and invited him over for supper Saturday to celebrate. well, Saturday around 6:30 i called him to let him know he was welcome to come over anytime. we build a fire in the back yard and sit around and have fun. He says okay WE'LL be over shortly -- I said who is WE and he names off 3 other adults and 3 teenagers. I was like M I have only taken out six steaks and really not sure that i have enough to feed everyone. He says, that's okay we just finished eating a low country boil at pops -- I probably will not eat much just nibble. So after i finished cussing him out (in my mind of course) i went in and pulled out two more steaks and two more potatoes. I just couldn't believe he never called me to let me know he had company and would it be okay to bring them. Now on the brighter side, we ended up having a really good time with the extra company. We had a huge fire and stayed fairly warm except for the parts that weren't facing the fire. I ended up going to bed around 11:30 and left them all in the kitchen partying. DSD said that our whole family were a sleep or laying on the couch about to be a sleep and all of them were still going at it in the kitchen around 1:30. (oh and about 11:00 two more of his friends show up). But like I said it was fun, there ended up being just enough food for everyone and the kitchen got cleaned without me (that is huge usually I am the last to go to bed because i have to clean up.) DSD even cooked a brownie cake with Happy Birthday on it for the guy. We do love him, he just turned 45 and has been all over the US hunting and stuff like that (a real outdoors man) Never been married, but has the spirit of life we should all tap into.

Woke up this morning to now power, and whoever turned off DH's truck radio -- locked the truck doors -- it's a loaner while his truck is in the shop and darn if they didn't lock the doors with the key inside. I am waiting on the sheriff's department to come out and unlock for us -- they do it for no charge. Can't find a locksmith within an hour from here.

guess i better get to doing some laundry, my Sunday nap time is 3:00 and I want all my work done so I can really enjoy it.

talk with you all later.

good sunday afternoon!

Driving their wives nuts is what most men excel at the best! I have solutions for that in mind, but most aren't legal.

Not as regular on here as I want to be so can go days without checking in.

I know yall are all asleep by now, cept. for Rozz and maybe Nat, but wanted to say hi and see how everyone else is doing. Will catch up in a lil bit.

It is snowing here now and they are saying we are going to get at least 3-4 inches.
hit.gif
Unlike Isaac, I don't get all excited about snow lol. I hate the stuff.
