I enjoy the Wii so far more than I thought I would! I am just not any good at video games. We have PS2 with Guitar Hero, Rock Band and all that jazz. I usually just watch everyone else play it, but I actually did get up and play it some last night! I hit a home run on baseball.
and who would have known that Des should have been a professional golfer!
We got the Madden NFL football 2010, Beatles Rock Band and a Transformers game to go with it so far. Des and I want some fitness stuff too, but now I am scared after you said that.
While hubby was playing something last night, Thunder and I were fetching at the same time. Poor guy got confused and thought Daddy was throwing things for him too when he would fling his wrist!
He was so confused at what was going on!
No, I absolutely do not think you are crazy!! We still love Santa around our house. As a matter of fact, I felt really bad on Christmas Eve. Des and I went to the garage to do something (can't remember what it was) and it was really sleeting, boys were asleep. While we were out there, I said "Is it okay if Santa goes ahead and delivers his presents under the tree? He really hates to get out in this weather again to get them?" So she and I got her present, but looked absolutely everywhere for Colton's and could not find it! I had seen it earlier that evening, but it had disappeared. So, we gave up and just put hers under the tree. The next morning, there was Colton's under the tree too! Hubby says, "I got Colton's present, but looked everywhere to find Destiny's and don't know where it is!"
Hers was on the other side of the tree and he didn't see it. Bless his heart he tracked out in the snow about 4 am to get those gifts!
Another funny story, everyone opened a gift on Christmas eve, including Thunder. He had a big gift bag under the tree with treats, toys, bowls, etc. The next morning everyone unwrapped everything else and started about their business and I looked over and there sat Thunder under the tree next to his bag waiting patiently for the rest of his stuff! That dog is too smart for my own good!
that dog os so funny! My girls has a great xmas despite the rudeness on my nieces behalf-the rest of us had a great xmas too-just very mellow...You and hubby were thinking the same thing huh?? thats to funny!!!
The sports thing came with the console. It has bowling, golf, baseball, bowling, tennis and boxing. Is there another one or did yours not come with it? I was not familiar with Wii at all until we got it. Colton and Des play the Rock Band/Guitar Hero on PS2 quite a bit in the winter, but I just watch. Seems like that stuff sits all summer long, but once it gets cold, it is all over the living room! Colton even rearranged my furniture last night to have more room to move around!
I am sure your girls had a great Christmas because they understand what it is all about and what the boundaries in your family are. I don't think I bought anything that wasn't on sale either, it is much more fun to bargain shop and you get so much more! I bet oldest DD loved her clothes!
Scary to think hubby and I were thinking the same thing, huh?
One year "Santa" overslept (when the kids were still young enough to not understand why he would do that) so we are a little more aware that he needs to be up and going at some point after they fall asleep to get the stuff under the tree! That year he arrived about 6 am and we just went ahead and woke up the kids. It was a close call!
Thunder is hilarious! He is also doing quite well with his new training. He has really surprised me on how well he is responding. Maybe he was waiting for someone to take control!
