Bartering is fine with me, as long as it is agreed on in advance and is something I want! It was kind of rude for her to give you tortillas and kitty litter if you were expecting $! I traded a rooster(alive

) for a big box of fresh corn. Best trade I ever made!

I thought it was a good deal too! That rooster was killed in a dog attack so she asked for all (3) of my extra roos!

I was happy to deliver them to her.

Edited because I forgot to add that she gave me more corn and let me pick tons of apples from her trees! Heck of a deal!

rirluvr--Poor kitty! She is going to have to steer clear of those chickens when she is outside! We don't free range the chickens, but I have seen the ducks go up behind an unsuspecting cat and peck them from behind and then run away! My goose has also scared the crap out of my lab before too. I guess they know they are smaller and need to get their bluff in as soon as they can!

chickenchick--Our Pamida has been having some good sales lately. I think they have to in order to keep going with the economy. They are our only choice to shop for a lot of things too unless you go the 20 miles to Wal Mart.

charmed--We haven't heard much out of you! How are you doing?

NY--Thanks! I will check that game out. We rented a few last night. We liked one, but the other was a dud.

Good Morning! I'm here. I had alot of mail to read yesterday! I'm thinking about trying to get internet out on the farm again. When my DD was there Sat, she had internet on her phone! Her DH used to work for sprint and got a deal. I need to check it out alittle further.


Michelle I want you to know I totally blame you and your yearning for a "White Christmas" on the knee deep snow drifts I had to trudge through Christmas day! It snowed and snowed and the wind blew and blew!

We could barely get out the back door! Now, I want you to wish for warmer weather and alittle less snow...Ok??

If it makes you feel any better, hubby made a good haul on pushing it, even though he was out for 17 hours straight and broke the plow HORIZONALLY and had to quit early! He did get it fixed yesterday and is still catching up. The good news is that the storm moving in tomorrow is only supposed to be a couple inches at the most.

Besides, you have that big strapping horse to get you where you need to go!!

It is freaking cold here today too! I am freezing to death even with drinking hot chocolate and wearing a blanket plus the heat on!
