haha Im hear now--yes I was knocked out all morning-I tried doing chores and fight off the pill but it didnt work I had to lay down and sleep it off. Then I got up to see where everyone was. Dh had taken DD's next door and tractored off a huge protion of our pong for a skaiting rink. He was joined by BIL-dil-nieces and frineds helping-the had a fire going ice fishing holes set up, lunch -venison-roating on sticks over the fire-it was amazing and I was impressed-we hung out there for hours. Then we went out to dinner at mex rest. what an amazing calm sweet day!!!

Oh regarding fishing, one year I bought a license for a year and I never got around to go fishing.

I spent yesterday watching a movie with my cousin/sister. She came down for the Christmas and New Years and is headed back to Berkeley today. Has anyone seen a movie named "the secret life of bees"? I must admit I was trying to hold back the tears but was not able to.

OH my goodness NY, that is SCARY about your coop, can you imagine if it would have caught fire? I shudder to think. I know just what you mean about FB. I did it, I joined it, kept hearing all the hoopla. And then I join, and it is boring. There are no conversations, there is nothing to talk about? I was like.. ok... what is so exciting about this? Nothing! So I have one, but hardly ever go there.

When you login on your blue bar there is a link called uploads. You click on uploads and it takes you to a page that allows you to upload your pictures to BYC. So you click browse and find the picture you want to upload and click submit. When the picture finishes uploading it will give you two links one that says thumb and one that says image. Copy the link to the image and paste it inside a message and it will show up in that message.

*yeah I am sorry too.. I think it has to do with the fact that the daylight is gone by 4:30-4:50pm. I was thinking about putting a light in the coop for the girls but I feel guilty that if I put a light in I will be tampering with their biological clocks. Also they are going to be 5 months old and I have yet to start feeding them layer feed, I am still feeding them the mash grow because I bought 50lbs of the stuff and 3 girls are taking forever to finish that up. I will probably get them the Purina Layena Crumble food by Monday and mix it in with their current food as to not let it go to waste.​

great pictures!!! I wish my birds took forever to go through their food like yours-but then again I have 45 of them! I need to smarten up before next winter and sell off some more.. I am bored stupid right now. All 4 kids are sleeping al animals are sleeping and DH is still crashed. Ive been up for about an hour its 1 degree outside. Bator is quiet and right on track-lockdown is Tuesday... I have eggs getting delivered next week for my next hatch-My silkies gave up laying eggs so that totally hosed me foe my next hatch! I finally sent out all my silkie eggs that were due to be sent thinking now its my turn to collect for me! Nope they are all hoarding and brooding! dang it dang it dang it. I was seriously hoping for a dozen of my own silkie eggs to put in. Well, I have 2 in bator right now so I pray they both make it out and that they are girls! LOL... anyone else awake???

Morning! I'm awake and having my coffee. Cold here also- 15 degrees. I let the dogs out and they were not sure they wanted to go there. LOL


RIR, thank you for the info on how to post a message, I will give that a try. I know what you mean about the light. I did put one in ours, mainly since they free range during the days most of the time, they will all go in the coup in the evening with the light on. If I have the light off, a couple will always try to roost up on the roof of the coop and I have to jump around trying to get them off at bed time. And I use it for heat also.


I was looking forward to seeing the Avatar movie, then I read a bunch of posts on another board saying it was not so good. Did you like it?

NY I am so jealous! My bator is home finally but they returned it all taken apart and not in the best of shape. I haven't seen it but hubby put it away and said it needs a little TLC

Oh well I am sure it won't take too much to get it up and running. What do you do with your extra roosters?
