I don't get it. Guys see a perfectly cute animal and can say no? My hubby does the same thing and I could just strangle him!

When I went to get the second goose last summer (without hubby's permission) they had a llama they wanted to get rid of. Believe me, I thought about it. If I hadn't been in my van....

I did come home and ask hubby if he would build me another pen and he gave me the look of death. He was a beautiful animal though!

Me and Ed have a kinda unspoken agreeent, I start it and get the framing done then he helps with the rest,

We are usually pretty busy too, but I wouldn't have it any other way! (well, most of the time anyway!)

62 degrees and sunny with some wind. The sky is a beautiful blue with huge clouds moving east.

My beautiful 16 year-old cat has decided she always wants to be with me. I sit down , lay down and she is on my lap, on my hip or laying close to me.

The girls are really chatty today. They did not get a chance to roam yesterday so they are making up for it today. I've got 4 pregnant female guppies that look like they are about to burst. I have to turn up the temperature of their water to make sure their babies survive.

I just have to say that I sure do love having pets.

But it is nice to hear someone is enjoying beautiful weather!

Our cats have decided they want to always be around us too, but I think it is more like they want to be in the house!! And guppies! How exciting! We used to raise some years ago. They are beautiful little fish!

Evening everyone.

Charmed- so glad you got to be with your DD and hope you enjoy your time with her. Sorry she is sick thought. Glad to hear Harry is still with us too.

Quite - my mother and I really want to go to first Ripley in March or April. We have not been in years but I LOVE to see all the different kinds of chickens there when I did get to go. It is a little over 2 hours for us to drive I think. I will have to take off work to get to go but I REALLY want to go lol.

chickenchick- I was sitting for hours in my kitchen last night with my flash light waiting for my eggs to do something. I think I ate half a bag of raisinets waiting lol

Michelle- I tried to go back to sleep this morning but couldn't. Around 10:30 I left to take Isaac to the doctor. He woke up with fever and has been sick for a few days now. When I saw he had fever I called the DR and got him worked in. When we got back still no chickies but at that point I was too worried bout Isaac to care so much. Later there was on pip and nothing has changed since then. I have been hearing peeping all day but nothing else.

Isaac has ear infections and a virus cold kind of thing. They put him on antibiotics and gave him something for drainage. I gave him some tylenol around 1 and he has been asleep ever since. Poor baby really felt bad.

I am getting so agrivated at those peeping eggs I am so wanting to open the brooder and start cracking shells myself!

I would be in the same boat as you. I would go in there and start cracking eggs and pulling little chicks out left and right. While listening to the song, "did you ever know that you're my hero."

But I have never bator'd eggs so I have no idea how long to wait. It might be my inexperience talking.

I LOVE First Monday! I've gotten all my chickens and rabbits from there. It's about an hour and a half for us I think. I' not sure if it'll be warm enough for them to have chicks yet

So sorry to hear about Isaac, hope he gets well soon.

I'm getting my bator in the next 3-8 days and then I'll be just like you are I' sure

I have never been there on Monday. What days of the week are they open? We used to always drive down on Sunday but that is not really worth it since by the time we get there everyone is packing up getting ready to go home just a few hours after we get there.

Isaac is in the floor playing with leggos with his dad and feeling much better since he got a shower and had supper and that looooong nap lol.

I think I am getting so frustrated with the eggs since the first time I had eggs in the bator they were in my pantry where I almost never go more than once a day but now since it is too cold back there they are in my kitchen and I am in there all the time and am constantly reminded of them. Can't forget about them long enough to give them time to do their thing. As soon as it gets warmer the bators are going right back to the pantry so I can forget all about them and one day I will go back there to get something and I will be like "Oh look! There are baby chicks in my bator!" lol

It's actually the weekend before the first Monday of the month, it's this weekend. We try to always go on Saturday so we can get the chicks we want before they're snapped up

. This will be the first time we'll explore the rest of the flea market which means I'll have to take my wheelchair

, but hopefully we'll find a few good buys there.

So glad Isaac is feeling a bit better, the only time my son will sleep during the day is if he's really sick.

I'll be setting mine up in my bedroom, just too tempting to little's if it was anywhere they could see them easily. Of course I also bring any other sick or injured animals in here, Ed doesn't like being woke up by a rooster much
