chickabator, I don't have any BYC buddies either but I still like to learn new things and I love to read some of the things people are talking about. Sometimes I get my best laugh of the day on here. That won't happen today. I don't think, no I know there's not a day that goes by I'm not on here because I love this place. It's better then those chat rooms that break up marriages’. Dp they still have them?

This could be a thread where we tell our troubles too and the next person can say. WOW I guess I don’t have it so bad. I’ll start. MY DS (8) is on Keppra for seizers. He had one last night that lasted over 2 minutes. This was a 11:41 until 11:43. Until 3am he was twitching. Which was probably seizers. Has anyone ever had to watch their child have a seizer. It’s not pretty. Now 2 minutes doesn’t seem like a long time when your working but stop what your doing and time it. It’s a hell of a long time. Anyone else have anything to complain about? Who's next?

I love to talk and want to be everyone's friend. So, anyone can feel free to pm me or chat right here in this thread.

ginbart--I can't imagine going through that.

I remember being at church camp in my teens and watching a little boy, I think he was about 3, and he had a huge, long seizure on me. I cried for hours and even after I had my own kids and many years later, I still remember that night. I am so thankful I haven't had to go through that again!

I am having a bad day at work with one of my co-workers. Long story, but she just won't leave me alone, keeps coming in and starting stuff.

I did answer Chicken Girl we had a conversation about the 4th of July and what we were doing!!

I don't want this thread to be about complaining

I would much rather it be about everyone getting to know each other and being friends

I understand about the seizures. My DS doesn't have them normally. He was in an accident that put him in serious shock and a 20 day coma. We were miles from nowhere. We loaded his unconscious 12 year old 65 lb body in the pickup. My DH was going 70+ on gravel to meet an ambulance that wasn't even sure they knew where we were. He was bleeding profusely from under his helmet that I refused to take off for fear it was holding his skull together (it was). He would seize every few minutes and vomit. I was holding his head in my lap begging him not do die.

He came home from the hospital in a wheel chair 5 weeks later. That was the 1 medication he was sent home on was Keppra. I feel for you having to watch that regularly. It IS horrifying.

Is he ok now? Does he still get them or did he out grow them? I am hoping my DS out grows them with Gods help.
