Brain bleach...that's a new one on me!

Have a good afternoon, purple!

Michelle -- I can't believe Jasper is so big already! And, mints for the goats

Just finished doing some edging out front. My son has been skipping the weeds along the side of the house. He mows but forgets to go back and do the last fifteen minutes of work. So, I've been out with the hand edger doing that. Yuck. I have him cleaning up the piles from that now, to toss on the compost. I wanted that done because technically they were tall enough in one area to be a code violation (though if anyone had time to concern themselves with that as a code violation then we need to fire some unnecessary city employees!).

Resting a bit then I think it's shower time. I am all itchy from the grass.

Yes, they love them! It was discovered quite by accident when Jasper found a Sonic mint in the garage and ate it wrapper and all. We offered them to the girls too and they ate them right down. They only get one or two a day, so it is going to take them a while to finish off the bag!

Looks like most everyone ran off early today. Dang, I've already exhausted myself today and have yet to go to work later tonight. Oh well... I'll survive.

Just got all my plants back outside. We had frost the other night, so it's a good thing they were in. All watered, patio is tidied (and even swept!) and the yard is in general all tidied and cleaned up. My son needs to finish mowing but lost a bolt off the mower AGAIN. Hopefully we have another that will fit. Need to go to Home Depot and get a locking nut or something for it. He's lost four bolts this season already and the mower is not usable without it. At least the grass isn't very long. It can wait until Thursday. Good thing he was mowing in the backyard.

Oh, I know what you mean. I've been at it most of the day. Moved the last 1/4 of the firewood under cover. It is actually all in the workshop now. ROFL My workshop has multiple stacks of wood six foot tall and 8 foot long. (We don't actually use it for a workshop -- just storage. We use the garage & basement for projects.)

Tidied up the yard, edged the grass on the front & sides, did a bit of trimming on bushes, took all my containers of plants BACK outside (about 25 of them in pots ranging up to so big I can hardly move them), watered them all, got DS to mow 1/2 of the back yard before the bolt went missing, swept the patio, etc. etc. etc. It's a good day for yard work.

Chimney gets fixed Thursday, so I'll be able to put the firewood to use!

I am here too. Got everything baked for Zach and even managed NOT to do my usual "Quality Control"

I am just waiting for it all to cool so I can get it packaged up. My friend Brenda is coming out for lunch tomorrow and she will drop the package by the PO for me. Poor kid says he is wasting away, can't let that happen.

Awww, poor Zach! We can't let that happen. I commend you for not doing quality control though. That is tough to resist! I have been looking at recipes the last few days at all the good stuff I could be baking for a cool evening, but I just don't have the will power yet. Although when Mom sent over all those chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles and brownies last week for the boys, I only nibbled at them minimally! What all did you end up making for him?

Hubby did most of our yard work last week before the boys all came out for supper and Colton worked on the back yard over the weekend. I did watch Colton do some more while getting ready to bring the wood stove in the garage for maintenance. Jasper hadn't seen the back yard much so he explored it some although he won't wander too far that he can't see Mommy! He wanted to spend some time with Daddy last night, but the yard was too dark so he stood between the garage and house and cried for him until I came along to entertain him. Big baby!

It was SO hard!! I baked Chewy Brownies, Peanut butter Cookies and Light and Fluffy Rolls. He loves my caramel corn but I didn't have time and I wanted to get this to him asap. So that will be in the next box, also probably some Apple bread, he really likes that. He said college food sucks!! I didn't have the heart to tell him I was a cook in a college kitchen for 16 years.
