Welcome home Michelle!! Wow what a weekend you had! I basically hung out at home and watched it snow! I had to do a little winter prep to the coop, plug in water, dig out heat lamp, etc.... Baked some cookies, cleaned house, laundry, had in-laws out for supper. Nothing exciting or strenuous.

Its great that your Coach is such a decent guy. Raymonds is a very understanding man too. You parent like I do. If the Coach feels there should be consequences then so be it. Raymond has to follow the same rules as the players. Grades, curfew, behavior! I think its good for them to have someone else to answer too because they tend to let things slide if its JUST Mom!! Seems like there is always that parent that thinks their kid is perfect and beyond any teenage antics. It doesn't teach the boys anything if Mommy comes to their rescue. If it is unfounded, and we had an incident like that in JR high, that different and it does happen once in a while. This particular teacher admitted to us he didn't like Raymond becasue of his choice of friends! He apologized and changed his attitude towards Raymond.

I am glad you made it home safe! We went to the "city" to shop for groceries on Friday and passed 2 differnt rollovers on the interstate. I guess it is that time of year.

I said I was going to "try" the eggs blown out thing! LOL.. have yet to do 1-I am going to town today to buy stuff to try my hand at it-I hope it goes well because I cant afford to spend 50$ a person-This year again is for the kids-theres no need for the adults to do it-IMO. Theres only one family in ours that always seem to spend ALOT-BIL is a cheapo when it comes to certain thigns but his kids bdays and xmas is another story 5000$ easy for them-and they dont look like they have 2 knickles to rub together-My family looks like we should have 2 nickles but we really only have sticks to rub LOL...I will take pictures of my stuff I bought so you can see what Im using?

Good Morning!! We are all online at the same time for once!!

I want to see the egg creations! They had some at the Ren Fest this weekend but they were close to $100!! My DD and I went Sunday and froze but had a great time!! It was fun seeing her reaction to things as this was her first time going! Thx for the tics Michelle!! (

NY) LOL!

Chickenchick...2 degrees?!! Keep the home fires burning!! Doesn't it seem like it's going to be a long winter!? Last year our family had a "white elephant" Christmas. We looked around the house for stuff that we could wrap up. Then we draw numbers and pick a gift to open. It was cheap and we had a great time fighting over each others gifts! Christmas has gotten so commercial that we forget the main thing is the family being together!

NY..Good luck with the exam! Sounds like you have a busy month ahead of you! My DH goes hunting too but luckily it's in our back pasture!! The way the forest runs and the lay of the river brings them right through our pasture!!

Michelle! I forgot you were going to be in my neck of the woods this weekend!!Sorry you lost

Isn't it just messy out!! I want to get my Halloween decorations out but don't want them to get soggy before the kids come down!! Hope Colton isn't in too much trouble!!

I asked him if he felt bad about doing it or getting caught and he said both! I think he really is sorry though. He has really felt bad about it the last couple of days. I just think it is funny that he called me 2 and a half hours away instead of his Dad in town! Dad was not impressed! Like I said, at that age they are ding dongs and someone needs to call them on it. And if they won't listen to the parents, maybe the coach would make an impact. The way the season has gone with losses, injuries and kids doing stupid things, I wouldn't want that job for the world!

I haven't heard much about the girl lately. Hopefully that has all blown over!

chickenchick--Yes, we are very fortunate to have an understanding coach. He is also a hometown boy, so he really cares about all the kids. Can you imagine trying to keep 50 some boys with raging hormones in check? No way and my hat is off to that man! The boys just don't understand how even a stupid little incident can affect other people and "just mom overreacting" doesn't always get through to them.

charmed--I forgot all about you going to Renfest this weekend! I'll bet that was a really muddy mess! But it was great, wasn't it? Did you see them joust to the death? Pretty cool! Did you see the candles I was talking about? Have a turkey leg? Okay, done with the grilling now! How much freaking rain did you get that way? It was ridiculous! We lost, again. But I am glad Butler got to win their homecoming game. I don't think they have had a great season either. Tonight we play Lawson for JV and Friday night is Maryville. They stomped us twice last year, the last one was play offs to end our season.

I don't decorate much at home for Halloween, but I need to get in gear here at the station and get some stuff put up. Then on the day, we will really decorate and get ready for the kiddies to come in, play games, collect their goodies and get to talk on the radio!

When we were at Lowe's the other day Destiny and I saw the neatest thing. It is a pre-lit palm tree christmas tree. We decided that is what we want this year! lol I thought it was supposed to be mild this winter, but I am thinking someone was wrong!

I love the white elephant idea! I think I will mention that! It would bring some fun in to it! I agree it really has gotten commercial and out of hand. We have pared our list down about as far as we can. It is less stressful that way too. DH has siblings that live with their families in differnt states. One is in Washington and the other in New Mexico. They each have 2 children and we see them once every 2 years. They are all wonderful sweet people but it is hard to get to know the kids and things change so fast. Both families are super busy, so I just send a box of baked goods (this year I hope to add some egg ornaments

) and it has become something they look forward too. They have favorites that they ask for at the 2 year family reunion so I always include those and then I add something new and different. Last year DH made deer jerky and included that, it was a big hit. After all, its the thought, right!!

My DH hunts in our back yard too! There were 2 literally IN the yard over the weekend! b Hey it is up to 14 degrees!! I have potato soup started in the crock-pot and homemade french bread. I plan on baking a lemon pound cake but I HAVE to pay bills first!

Michelle...It wasn't muddy at all! I was suprised it wasn't. I saw the candles you mentioned. I couldn't find the scent i like but did buy some nag champa soap. We had soup in a bread bowl and I brought a turkey leg home! Saw the jousting too! Traci had a really great time even though it was freezing! But saw alot of neat stuff. Did you see the hanging lanterns made of chain mall. They were up behing the joust arena. Cool but over $100.!!

Chickenchick...I thought about making potato soup today too...A neighbor cleaned out her garden and brought me 2 grocery sacks full of potatoes!! How do you make yours?

I want to introduce you to the newest member of our family! I don't actually have her yet. We are going to pick her up next Sunday. Of course we don't NEED another animal to feed! Who does! But this just feels right. I had a dog that was "mine". Followed me everywhere. It was a year ago in May that she died. She was very old about 14 or so. It wasn't until just the past month or so that I started thinking I was ready to have "my" own dog again. Hubby found this on Craigs list. She is a year old and had to have her left rear leg amputated at 6 months. She just looks like a sweetie and after talking with her current "mom" she sounds perfect for our family. I am SO excited!

Forgot to say she is a German Shorthair. We had a male one a while back but he was hit by a car. (mine
