Wow, looks like a lots been going on here. I've got a lot of catchin up to do. As for how things are here, lets see, lol. Sunday I took Marty to the bus station in Jackson, so he's back in Florida and hopefully finding a job so he can support his and Amy's sons. Monday I had to drive back to Jackson and pick up my sis and nephew, 3 hours round trip
. We, me and sis, have decided I'll be homeschooling CJ as well as my kids for the rest of this year so he doesn't have to start another new school this year. Amy has a job interview tomorrow afternoon
. Sis is going to be going to truck driving school so we're getting it arranged for me to have custody of CJ. We've been going to town to get kids on WIC, and this week Amy's oldest 2 should be starting head-start here
. We had an accidental pregnancy with our New Zealands, we had combined bunnies during the January cold snap, Lily had her babies and I guess the guineas had startled her so I woke up to dead babies scattered all over the cage
. We went ahead and bred them, on purpose this time, Wednesday so I'll be building a rabbit tractor and setting up a Rubbermaid in my room for her to kindle in. I'm hoping I can talk Ed into getting another indoor bunny cage
. We've only been letting the chickens free-range a few hours in the evening since they stop laying about 3pm. Luckily that means I haven't had to climb under the house searching for eggs anymore. Our guineas should start laying soon, so the kids will get to search through the brush on the back half of our lot for eggs
. We received our income tax return and all our bills are caught up
, and we've ordered a hovabator since our hens decided they weren't ready to go broody, now watch a few of em decide they're ready
. We had to separate our 2 dogs cause Peanut wasn't letting Princess/Honey eat, so I've been giving her a bit of TLC. not sure how much I'll be online again this week, hopefully after getting through this week things should settle back down again. Oh yeah, we're going to First Monday in Ripley this weekend and hopefully getting some RIR's and Austrolorps and maybe a few more PR's so we'll have a roo for our PR girls. Also, sis, Laura and Ed will be hopefully going to IL to get the rest of CJ and her stuff
. Ed took me out for a late Valentines diner last night, I don't do well in crowds, so we had a nice, quiet, relaxing evening
.
