I am sorry to hear about your friend. It seems like there has been a lot of sad news in all of our lives lately. It is even more sad when there are children involved. A girl I went to HS with died from cancer when she was 30, she had 2 small children, a few years later another class mate of mine died from the same thing , she had 3 small children. It will never make any sense to me.

That teacher need a swift kick in the ..... She has created these issues by singling her out. How can she not see that? I hope your DD can get something done, and soon! This could make her hate school, like you said. (BTW I hated school too) It could really change the way she learns and behaves, not to mention the way she thinks about herself. I want to go there and choke that teacher myself
You are right. Raymond does get picked on by just a couple of kids. The rest are all very understanding, even the upperclassmen. One of them was in a car accident a couple of years ago and was in a coma like Raymond. He has a lot of the same issue Raymond has. He works as a mentor for Raymond so he has introduced him to his friends, he is a Senior. So these older kids look out for him, as does the FB team.
