Did you have your bonfire? Was it a good time? Raymond rode the train to Havre this weekend. He got home last night. My inlaws were out for supper on sunday. BBQ ribs, homemade mac and cheese and steamed peas.

Yes, thank you for the congrats! I am sorry you guys didn't win yours.

Saturday I slept in. Really late. Got up in time to see the end of the Mizzou game. We won! I then spent a romantic evening alone with hubby cleaning on the garage!

Sunday we went to Wal-Mart and to my sister's for a while. It was windy, but we had our bonfire anyway. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and had a good time. Didn't we Des??

Yesterday was another hang around the house day, sleep a little, get up for a while and start the cycle again. Overall it was a pretty good weekend!

I am so glad you had a nice relaxing weekend. It s about time. Your "romantic" evening sounds like us!!

With Raymond gone you would think we would do something special. Well saturday evening (he worked all day) we watched TV, then went for a 4 wheel ride with both dogs (ran all the way to the destination then rode back home

) then had a couple glasses of wine and went to bed at 9:30.

Yesterday we were kind of like you. We each accomplished little things in between sitting on the couch reading or watching TV, until we had to drive to Shelby to pick up Raymond. OUr weekend was pretty darn good too

I like uneventful!!

The game was so exciting Friday night. It was one we weren't expected to win, but since the other team was worn down by illness and injury, we snuck right in and won it! We looked pretty darn good too! Colton got to start on kick off return, so he was happy about that. I went to McDonald's after the game and sat outside and talked to my sister and her friend and then Freddie showed up, followed by Colton a little later and it was midnight before I finally sent them on their way so they wouldn't get caught out after curfew. Destiny babysat until 1:30 am, so Colton volunteered to wait on her to bring her home. We took the kids to the game, so she didn't miss out on that. Then Des and I stayed up and talked until 3am. It was 2:30pm Saturday before I actually got up! It felt good! It was 5 am yesterday before I got to bed then and slept until noon, so I was going between laundry and sleeping most of the day. I got most of what I wanted to accomplish this weekend, so it was all good. Today Destiny is miserable with a runny nose and sneezing. I guess allergies or something because she isn't actually sick. Just totally miserable and clutching the kleenex box!

I'm glad you got to see Freddie

I can't believe you can stay up that late! I would be tired and cranky for a week after. I am catching up on my laundry today. I bought a new comforter set on saturday so I am washing the old stuff up so I can move it to the camper. We are done camping for the summer, Kenny made the official announcement this weekend

With FB I didn't think we could go any way unless we left Raymond with grandma. So I need to get it cleaned out the next couple days so he can put it away this weekend.

Des I hope you feel better soon, allergies suck!

It got pretty cool this weekend, so I know fall is coming. We have had a really windy past 2 days and evenings getting cool. I love the weather, but not looking forward to it getting cold.

I would love to stay up late all the time, but I can't handle it much anymore either. I am a night owl and would love to sleep all day. Unfortunately, my life doesn't fit into the pattern so I don't do it much anymore and I definitely pay for it when I do! But every once in a while, you just have to do it! We have some of our best convos at 2am!

I bought a huge box of bacon this weekend. Any good suggestions on what to fix with it or how to fix it? I need some recipes girls!

Good Morning all! Got most of the house scraped. Some of it primed and ready. Had a busy weekend.

The couple that spent the weekend with us got some tragic news Sunday. Their daughter's best friend lost a daughter in a boating accident at the lake. Very sad. She left 2 little kids behind. I guess the guy that was driving the boat, gunned it accidently as they were trying to dock and backed the boat full speed into the dock. She died in her sister's arms. Gives me goose bumps just talking about it. You just never know when it's your time.

Other than that, we had a very good weekend.

What's been going on around here?
