I would love a basset, it's what I grew up with but my hubs is not a fan

Bassets are cool dogs, so loving and sweet with the right amount of mischieviousness to make them adorable. They usually get along with all other household dog members, their feet smell like Fritos and their ears are velvet soft........what's not to like?

When they get older the get big cysts that can ooze and he says the droopy eyes weird him out. I however agree with you 100%!!!

I LOVE sass, my mini Aussie can be a little ball of tude sometimes
The dachshund that my grandparents had when I was a kid made it well into her teens, she was a little fat and a little blind and always cranky but I loved her more for it

Now I kinda want a pug but maybe only a mix or a poorly bred one with a longish nose, and normal eyeballs for gosh sake
I like the tubby body, curly tail, and brachycephalic head but I'm not too fond of the concave face and bulging eyes.
Maybe a Frenchie or a Boston...

I have frenchie Boston mixes. They are a perfect mix in my opinion. So far been really healthy with no issues. My oldest is 11 now. They weigh a bit more than either breed. That's the only downside.
