I have to be in Chilli by 5:30, with travel time it doesn't give us much time at the festival. Bring your company with you or tell them Sunday would be better!

Roz thanks for the loofah tips. Ya know Kenny is going to build me a green house soo, so I could start them early, hmm............. I have never seen seeds though, where would I find them?

Charmed did you get your sheets tea stained? I have never done that, but it sound like a neat idea.

Des are you going to be the photographer at the dinner tonight?!

Kenny decided to put satellite in Raymonds room, not sure where that came from! I had to beg for him to have a TV just to watch movies. I am not asking any questions though, Raymond will be thrilled. Plus and I know this sounds bad

but it gives me another bargaining chip for discipline.

We are going to skip lunch so we can maybe get out of here earlier. It is Thursday, so we have to wait until that show gets uploaded so Des can put it in the computer. Their deadline is noon but they use every bit of their time and then some.

Oh, I know Michelle. If I hatched them now...

However, remember that all of my birds live inside.

And, right now the count is...30 button quail & 8 coturnix quail, including the ones that just hatched. There are a few more eggs to go. Let's say 4 more make it. That would mean an even dozen coturnix... I don't want my numbers to zoom up too fast.

Besides, getting them next year would mean I could enjoy a hatch again in a few months, instead of all at once.

ChickenChick-- I probably bought the seeds from Shumways or one of the other seed companies. I'd look in those. You probably won't find them in the store. They will also seem VERY expensive -- and there won't be very many seeds in the packet. Trust me. That will be okay.

If I had any seeds I'd just send them to ya for free. However, it's been a few years since I grew them. I dunno how well they'll transplant, but it couldn't hurt to try!

Oh..and as for the number of cages...

I'm not sure, Michelle. I am kind of thinking of just building a bank of them in that room. Two foot tall cages, each half of the width of the room, floor to ceiling. Then, I could have however many quail I had cages for.

I really want to think about the design, though, because it would need to be really easy to clean. I'm thinking pull out trays for the bottoms.

Thats perfect! I'm glad they are doing well.

Raymond didn't ask for it. We have a double receiver and the second one was installed in the office/storage/cave. It never gets used, so all on his own Kenny looks at me this morning and says, I am thinking about putting that cable in Raymonds room this morning!

I got my first egg from my spring ducks yesterday! I am not sure who the culprit is and it is small, but I was thrilled!!

Not a coffee drinker at all, I just can't bring myself to drink that stuff.

I totally agree about the coffee. Never have been able to drink and I have tried when I really needed to wake up lol.
