Well, I was at Wally World at 7:30 this morning buying stuff for my party this weekend. And right now I'm looking for chainsaw parts online for an outdated chainsaw. This is my life....

I have chainsaws!! What do you need?

I have been surfing for ideas on my novel for next month. I am going to go with the ghost thing and I have that house visualized as the setting, but I think I am going to have the location somewhere else. I am thinking about maybe the East coast? Near the water. I want to make it kinda vague so I don't have to do too much research about it. I am also trying to decide what direction I want to go with the story. I am going to sorta go by the prompt I found, but by the time I am done, I am not sure exactly what I want.

I am thinking maybe the girl inherits the house, eventually finds out the ghost is tied to her past somehow and maybe a little conflict/ending in romance with the guy next door/hired hand, whatever. That is pretty much all I have right now.

Maybe the ghost can be her twin she didn't know about, that was seperated from her at birth and died tragically and is jealous of her happiness with the guy next door. Perhaps she died in the house and was once engaged to the guy next door . The house was owned by the MC's aunt who raised her as her own daughter. The MC doesn't find out until the end that the ghost is her sister. Maybe?

Oh, I do like that! I was trying to use an abandoned father she inherited it from, but couldn't get any further. The Aunt and sister would be a great idea! What age? I was thinking late 20s, early 30s?

That's a good age. Maybe her mother couldn't raise twins cause her husband died in the war and she was poor. So her rich sister across the globe, said she would take one of the kids only if she could adopt her for her own and she relinquished all rights to her. When the aunt dies, MC is only living relative but had never met Aunt or cousin/sister.
