Got beat out on the asil bid. Ended up ordering a dozen Silver Dorking.

That is still betr than nothing,and they are a good,rare breed. I'm in the middle of trying to find some baby chicks that are cheap,because I want a companion or two for my dark cornish bantam, which appears to be a pullet,based on wing development,and she has earned the name Clarisse. Does anyone know a good place to just get a couple baby chicks under a week old this time of year? It doesn't matter what breed, just so long as they are cheap,under a week old,and preferably pure breed. And if it is possible,to have them shipped. I can't really go more than 45 minutes out from my home,because it wouldn't really be worth the drive just for a couple baby chicks.

Ive had good luck with ideal poultry. They have a 25$minimum,or check your local classified adds

I did see ideal,but ty are are all done for the year. And it just seems like no on has chicks this time of year. I guess it would be alright if I didn't find any,but I was hoping to.

Cassidy that's the exact reason I went the egg route

I figured,but the problem is that I will had to wait three weeks for more chicks if I decide to hatch eggs...and then it will make three weeks of LOUD chirping... Trust me,the chick is a banty,but she's loud. I am still lokin around,but it is hard to find them. And I don't know if I want to go the hatchery route. I've never done that before.
