What about the stand-alone movies? I was very skeptical, but saw Rogue One because I like Felicity Jones. It was dark, but very well done. Except for CGI Leia at the very end.

Solo was fun, but not as good as Rogue One.

I actually avoided that one too.
I'll be watching it this time around though.

I thought it would be hard to get into.

CGI Tarkin didn't make your skin crawl? I didn't have a major issue with the Leia thing, but seeing and hearing "almost, but not quite" Peter Cushing make me uncomfortable. It was very well done, but it's the whole "uncanny valley" thing.

Now that I think more about it, Carrie Fisher as Princess Lea was a strong female role model to me. So I guess I have 2 favorites from the original movies. We have watch the Star Wars movies a lot.

A new hope is probably my favorite, after Return of the Jedi, my all time fav. My favorite characters are Leia, (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo, (I don't remember who played him) 3rd, maybe Ray.I don't like Disney's star wars movies very much, They buchered Luke's character, and ruined the whole plot for me. I only watched 2 of the Disney ones, and NOPE, I don't much care for their plot. Lucasfilm really did the characters justice

The original movies are what I think of when Star Wars is brought up. I often forget about the newer ones. The original made a huge impact in my life because at the time they came out there was nothing else like them.

I also enjoy Rogue One. I think it was the best of the newer films.

I haven't watched any for a while, but my favourite as I remember it was Revenge of the Sith, for the obvious reason that Obi Wan was at his greatest.

It's been so long since I watched them though. That may well change this time around.

Basically its about this girl whose father was forced to work for the empire, and then she gets caught up in the rebellion and forms a team and they go get the plans for the death star so they can locate its flaw and blow it up
