Everything takes so long to load on the new BYC

I am having the same issue's with it being slow to load. I have tried my laptop (Vista), my pc (xp)and my cell phone using FF, IE and Google chrome. It seems as if every page has to load twice. The page will load, then hang for about 5-10 seconds then the status bar at the bottom of the page goes blank and the page reloads. This is happening with all 3 devices and all 3 browsers. I have tried disabling all spyware/antivirus, clearing cookies and shutting down all unneeded processes. It makes no difference. Also I am using the Verizon air card, wifi at work and mobile network on my cell phone. Again it makes no difference, each page still loads the same as described above. But I love BYC and will deal with it.

Have you tried these:

I have a dial up connection here and it takes sooooo loooong for these pages to load. A lot of times I just get frustrated and leave.

The new BYC page is very slow for me as well. High speed Internet is not available here in rural America so I have Hughesnet, which is horrible. I imagine that many BYC users have satellite Internet or worse, dial up. All the scrolling images and such on the main page slow things down so much that it's very cumbersome. I used to check BYC several times a day, but I've gotten frustrated with the new page that this is the first time that I've managed to get into the forums. I use an iMac and an iPad.

I'll keep checking back every few days and hope that this improves. If one needs high speed Internet to access BYC now, many of us in rural American will be left out.

I am on dial-up, so I'm used to slow, but today BYC seems really slow. It has been loading like normal since the change until today. I'm on a shared computer so changing browser and settings is not an option.
