Exciting New Brinsea App Controlled Incubator - Testers Journey!

Pics
Get a Brinsea! This one so far is looking pretty good. :p
I second that! The Brinsea incubators have been great for me.

I highly recommend the EX model (and now the Connect!) since it regulates the humidity. I have one Advance, I love how steady the temperature is, but in the dry winter months here it does take extra work to get the humidity up for hatching. I need to try the Advance now that we have higher ambient humidity and see how it does. 🤔 I am heading toward having too many eggs for thr Connect, maybe I should just overflow into the Advance for a side "test".

The EX though, wow, awesome!

Is there a specific model of the EX that you prefer, or is it all the EX models? (I looked up the EX, and it looks like there are different sizes.)

I couldn't agree more!! Auto-humidity has been a life-saver for me who started with an NR360 a couple of years ago. Nothing against it, but humidity is a constant issue with it. With the EX and EX Connect, they take the worry out of incubating and maintain the humidity 100% of the time.

It depends how many eggs you plan to incubate. Tink and I have 56EX plus the 56EX-Connect, thus if you saw the pictures of ours above, those are the same size. They hold 56 regular chicken eggs or 64 silkie/bantam eggs. Or you can get the bigger racks like Casportpony did for larger eggs.

But just make sure the one you are thinking of is an EX, meaning auto humidity.

I'm thinking the Minis. I'd like to get a mini someday, even if it's to finish hatches started by my broodies. (It probably would be a bad idea for me to have access to hatching 56 chicks, lol.) They don't take up a lot of space, and they'd limit me to an amount that won't overwhelm me (or my space for chicks).

I originally wanted the 28, but opportunity was there for a used 56. It turns out that no matter how many spots for eggs I have, I always have too many eggs 🤣

The Mini's look nice but I don't have any experience with them.

@casportpony doesn't see the network the phone is connected to when setting up the Brinsea because it's a hidden network (non broadcast SSID) - the Brinsea setup doesn't seem to allow entering the network name manually (or I missed that setting)

Didn't matter anyway as I wanted to have the Brinsea on its own Wifi network, so I just created a wifi network (and password) just for it 😀

Yup, that's what @casportpony gets for living with a geek 🤓
SHE IS LUCKY!

I just put Xiaomi wireless temperature/humidity sensors in!

And @beluga3858 did this webpage that tracks temp & humidity.
