. It's all good ladies, didn't mean to walk in on the tupperware party so to speak.

This OP was joking. I MAY have double dog dared her to start a thread about excuses we give our husbands. Just sayin'...

My husband says "no more until we get our farm". But I only have 2 chickens and 3 ducks... so I have a little more room..

Of course he says this as he's helping me hang the door on the duck pen. (While discussing how it will hold more if we built it up here, and then did this here, and then you could put some here... and paint it red to look like a barn.. and then cut an opening here... )

He loves them.

Hmmm.... My husband is a hunter, he loves hunting, drops all sorts of money on camouflage clothes, ammunition/arrowheads, different hunting weaponry, scent killing body washes, and (my personal favorite) doe urine. Yuck! Then he goes out into the woods with the aforementioned equipment, sits in a tree for hours upon hours, comes home empty handed and when the next day arrives he starts the process all over again. I choose to not think of how much a pound of venison REALLY costs, because it's something he loves to do. So when he recently took to complaining about of how impractical and wasteful of money my most recent incubator and egg purchases were, my words were....

"And I was just thinking of how good some venison sounds right now. It's just a shame that after all the time and money that we've invested in it, that the freezer still stands empty. I guess I'll just have to settle for chicken and eggs again."

Wife - 1, Hubby - 0.

And just to clarify, I love the man, but who doesn't like to be right every once in a while?!

Same boat here, he has spent tons on his hunting gear and has gotten zero deer, someone has to keep this family fed! If this family must eat chickens and eggs instead of some good deer tenderloin, so be it! (I do wish he'd get a deer, tenderloin with biscuits and venison gravy would really hit the spot right about now.)

...I'm a DH myself (and I hope she means "Darling"

) and I'm the one with the chicken fever, but when she wants/"needs" anything at all, all she does is gives me "that" ( puppy eyes+sexy eyes combo) look and is over..."ok hon" lol...

My fav: "The mother chicken abandoned the eggs and they would have died if you hadn't intervened."
