Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

If I've not gone into labor by Friday, then he wants to induce next M, T, or W. I will choose Wednesday b/c I really want to go on my own!

Many, many babies come in the 41st week w/o intervention. Babies aren't considered post-term until after they are a full 42 weeks. So, I'm just being impatiently patient.

Kelseygirl- I think you and I were on the same wave length last night (Or our little ones were, anyway). I couldn't sleep last night until late; Toby was squirming and kicking all over the place. Full body stretches and shifting side to side. I think I finally nodded off between 11 and midnight. Then about 3am I woke up again with contractions and this nauseated feeling. I managed to get back to sleep around 7 (on the couch).

Yep, definantly a napping day. I might vacume. Eventually. Maybe. Viva la Nap!

Yep! Youre right on the money about that! I was exactly 2 weeks 'past due' (according to my DR's calculations) with my first baby. They wanted to induce me, but I guess she decided to beat them to it and came 2 days before the inducement date. I had already told them I wouldnt participate in an inducment anyways unless the baby was showing signs of distress, but it turned out to be a moot point!

Hang in there ladies!! Soon, very soon!

Hey everyone! Been a long time since I have been on this thread. Been pretty busy with my lil sweety Ian but wanted to share with all of you what I got in the mail yesterday. This is what I posted on another thread and just copied and pasted it here so I didn't have to type it all out again.

I just got something in the mail about free baby announcements and went to the web site to get them. Looks like it is for real. Only have to pay shipping. Here is the addy if anyone else wants to try it. www.vistaprint.com/share
Got
to be sure and put share on the end or it will never take you to the free part. I got 2 sets it looks like and didn't even mean to. When I went to check out I was not charged for either of them.

Can't wait for mine to get here and hope yall enjoy them too if you order any.
Hope everyone is doing good. Sorry I didn't have time to catch up on what is going on in everyone's lives.

Yep, it's real, I have used Vistaprint many times, and they always have free stuff, just gotta watch the shipping, even though they throw multiple items in the same box for shipping, they will charge you shipping for each additional item, so it can add up fast. I actually have a $50 gift card for them I was saving to buy baby announcements

Oh, labor salad - here's mine and it did work for DS12 who did NOT want to show up. 2 weeks and 3 days post due date, I gave up and pigged out on salad. He showed up the next day.

The labor inducing veggies
4 cups romaine
2 cups watercress
2 cups red cabbage
2 cups parsley

The flavor help
2 tablespoons craisins
1/4 cup thin sliced red onions
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
1 small Anjou pear chunked
1 small Gala apple chunked

Protein if you want it added in

Shake together with some balsamic or whatever dressing you like.

I could eat about 2 cups of salad at a time, then go back and eat more in 2 hours. Gobbled up my last 2 cups of salad on the drive to the hospital.

Thanks for the recipe! I have NO doubt I will be spending some time in Spetember searching this thread for this! Actually, it sounds really tasty anyways, but I love salad. I think I will plant a few of those items in the garden this weekend so I will have it really fresh. Yum!

I have a friend who refused to be induced and transferred to a birthing center at 43 weeks and gave birth naturally two days later.

Ouch! I think I'd be SCREAMING by the time I reached 41 weeks, let alone hanging on for another two! Props to your friend, but I wouldn't do that. I'm all for better living through chemistry.
