Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

I asked my mother and sister about the shot and they said they both had to have it cause they were A negative. My husband is an O positive. My mother and sister said it wasn't a big deal about the shot and they would rather have it then have something happen.
I work in a blood bank at a hospital. I can explain this further if needed: Please get the shot. If you don't, your future pregnancies could have complications due to a red blood cell antibody. The antibody that your body could make will pass through the placenta and could attach to the baby's cell and cause severe anemia. Any questions, let me know.

I'm definitely going to get the shot. My MIL is saying that she thought her sister only got it after the baby was born and that I shouldn't get any shots while pregnant. She thinks the baby shouldn't have any vaccines due to the side effects. I am a little worried about the vaccines but more due to me having serve allergic reactions to some of them and other meds. The doctor didn't think I was going to make it through the reaction. I've ran into other people that had problems with their children having reactions to them also.

Been a while since anyone has posted; how is everyone doing?

I am doing well. 22 weeks and a good sized bump to show for it! Last doc appt went well but they are going to need to do another ultrasound in a month or two to be sure my placenta has moved up. It's not previa but it was low lying so they want to be sure it is out of the way before things kick off.

I'm almost 23 weeks along. Definitely have a noticeable bump. He has been giving me some good kicks and my husband finally got to feel it. I've began strong item searching for the better prices. I was hoping to find some good ebay clothes lots but most of them are winter or the people want way to much money for a few items. I've picked up the sinus cold bug going around. Not pleasant but way better than the bronchitis I had in October.

I'm having to do the name search all over again. I thought we were going to use Archer since I was 2-3 months along but cause of all the relatives saying they are going to call him Archie which we hate my husband is now wanting to use Thane. I don't really care for Thane and cause I have a slight speech problem it will sound more like I'm saying Fane. I'm hoping to find a name that he will like more but he is so picky. If we have another baby I'm telling him to keep his mouth shut about names. I've been calling him Archer in my dreams since 16 weeks when we were sure it was a boy.

I'd stick with Archer and make it clear to the family NOT to call him Archie. Or else... *insert evil eye here*.

If they figure out you are truly serious about it they should back off. If not, don't let your husband bully you into a name you have problems pronouncing.

I'm doing well, now 11 weeks and already have a good bump. But it's my third so it was bound to happen. I go tomorrow for my NT scan, really looking forward to seeing baby again. My sister is going with me, along with my youngest, hopefully baby cooperates and we get a few good pics!

And as far as names go, I would stick with the name you like. Insist that they call him Archer. With both of my daughters Deidra and Lorelei my mom kept trying to give them nicknames DiDi and Lori and I would just kindly say it's Deidra or Lorelei. Now they correct grandma and she really hasn't tried any of her nicknames in a while. We just aren't fans of nicknames, we named them what we did because we loved the name not the nickname.

Hey everyone, glad to read up and see everyone is doing well :) I'm 37 weeks pregnant today so baby boy is officially considered fully developed! It's definitely getting pretty uncomfortable to take care of my chickens being so large, the baby so low, and it being so cold outside though! (it was 11 degrees out this morning here in Rhode Island). I saw a question earlier about the blood type shot...I am also O negative and would have had to get the shot but you don't need to if your husband also has a negative blood type. Turns out my hubby is B- so I don't need to get it. Something to ask about anyway, if your partner doesn't know their blood type it's worth a shot to have it checked before you get the shot. As long as you are both negative the baby will be as well and you don't need it.

Anyhow, this is the first baby for me so getting a little anxious...wish me luck

Just got back from my NT scan and everything looked great!! Baby moved ALOT, so much the tech had a hard time getting measurements. And I am measuring ahead of my due date by 8 days. This has never happened to me before, I am always a little behind and have little babies. This has me worried that this is going to be a big baby! I go back on Valentines Day to find out what we are having, so excited!!

And here is a little pic of our peanut

Yay!! Love the pic! Don't worry about how big peanut will get yet. I have always measured ahead of my date but DS was only 8lb 7 oz. Not bad and more long than pudgy.
