Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

I HATE acid reflux. All I did was eat a few dozen M&Ms and now I have the Burn, again! I know chocolate aggravates it but it's CHOCOLATE!!! And I have a whole Costco bag of them! And what's worse, I still want more! :'(

I'm new here, and expecting my fifth child this summer. Haven't been to the doctor yet, but believe my due date is around mid August (the same time my chickens will start laying, lol).

I have three children from my first marriage who are older and a toddler from my second marriage who was a complete surprise for us! Needless to say, at nearly 43, we are doubly shocked this time around (and were using birth control with the last one and this one). Apparently God had other plans.

We're thankful and trying to figure out how to make everything work this year. Thankfully, we just bought our dream farm house on 5 acres. There's plenty of room for one more.

Should be an interesting year!

Just doing a check in

I am finally into my second trimester

, my nausea is starting to subside and wanting to eat everything in site. I finally pulled out my old pregnancy pants from my first two and they are all to big! I guess I had a huge butt with my last two, this pregnancy is so different then my previous ones. My DH swears it is a boy, has already come up with a name, and won't even talk about girl names, LOL. He just keeps asking how junior is doing and rubbing my belly. I sure hope it is a boy for his sake. How is everyone else going?

I am 24 weeks and doing fine! The doc told me to take Zantac for the heartburn and otherwise I am in great health.

Still having the wackiest dreams though. Last night I had a dream that I went to help my Mom with her accounting job but her office was in this place that was primarily a high tech lab. Then dinosaurs started chasing everyone and of course all the main walls were made of glass so you couldn't hide if you needed to move somewhere. What fun.

I just love all the strange dreams I keep having too! The other night I dreamed that it wouldn't stop raining and the chicken coops were going underwater. So my DH decided to build them arc to live on. It has been raining non stop here, so I guess I've been a little worried about the chickens, LOL.
And today I made Rice Krispie treats, only to proceed to eat the whole pan. At least my daughter got one before they were gone. But they really did hit the spot for me!

I have crazy dreams too, after the much needed break I got in my second semester! I'm 30 weeks now with a baby boy. He's sitting completely sideways today, his feet are literally sticking out of my side every now and then... Geeeez!! I'm due March 25th, but I have an inkling he won't wait that long!

I wish you luck. I'm already wondering how I'm going to handle having one child and I'm only 28 till April.

My pregnancy is going by way to fast. I'm going to be 25 weeks tomorrow and we haven't even settled on a name yet. He is getting called Thunder Thighs right now cause of all the kicking he does. For this being my first pregnancy it has gone by pretty easy. Only had mild morning sickness. The only times I had problems was when my hips were widening which made it painful and hard to get up out of bed. My legs would get wobbly and not want to move. Besides that I've been sick 3 times so far and once was with bronchitis for 5 weeks. I feel like I might be getting a cold again but hopefully it is just allergies. I have been getting worse stomach acid the further I get along in the pregnancy.

Had my appointment this past Tuesday and felt better after it. I had some questions for the doctor that he helpfully answered. I did find out I get the joy of drinking that syrup stuff next month. I'm not looking forward to that. Hopefully it turns out good so I don't have to do the 3 hour one.

I've bought most of my items I need so far. Just have a few things here and there to get. Finally got my Lassig diaper bag ordered. Had to pay more than what I would like to pay ($100) for it but I loved the look and it didn't look cheap made or like a diaper bag. All the other bags I seen already were cracking cause of the material and just didn't look like something I'd want to carry. I figured I better get most of the stuff now cause who knows if I'll end up sick again and the ice has been horrible this year so I haven't gotten out as much. We are also going to start building a house in April so our hands will be tied in March trying to get everything set up to build.

I never was one much for New Years but this year is bringing us a bunch of new joys with a baby due in May and a custom house being built. I wonder what other surprises will come.

I just posted about this but our elephant pregnancy continues- ie, the wait for our second adoption. Its been a year so far and we have no way of knowing if it will be tomorrow or next year! (Sigh) So I am STILL "paper pregnant."
Anyway, the husband, the toddler, the dogs, the cats, the chickens and the whole farm thing keep me really busy. Hopefully that little person will find us soon.

If you know someone who is considering making an adoption plan, please share our facebook page or our main profile page. Wish us luck!!

Today I just scored a sweet deal. I picked up a carseat stroller combo for only $69, because of their baby sale plus the box was damaged! We really needed new, our old carseat was to old and expired and the stroller had definitely seen better days after two kids. Plus for the first time ever they match!
