I'm expecting a box of peeps this week. Anyone else?
I have 55 Pharaoh quail due on the 8th and 16 RIR's due on the 13th ( my brothers birthday )
My baby chick (just one) is due on Oct. 15
we got 7 eggs sitting under a broody bantam hen and we are expecting on oct 9
My first ever chicks are showing up the week of Oct 15. **** this is gonna be fun.
Cant say the ...D... word!!!!!
Yes it will, Keep them safe.
Shipping today or tomorrow. Squee! We homeschool, and my best brooding location is right where we usually school, so today's project is to move the school stuff to the kitchen table, and assemble & set up the brooder. Chick starter has been on the ferment for about four days now, going gangbusters, so by this afternoon, we should be good to go.
Expected from Meyer are 2 Polish, 2 Salmon Faverolles, 4 Mottled Cochin bantams, 2 Speckled Sussex, 12 assorted pullets, and 4 white broilers.
Hee hee, I have a major milestone birthday very soon, and I can't believe I still get this excited when a new box of peeps are due.
I ordered a small flock of 8 from Ideal that should arrive on Wednesday. Hoping for no DOAs.
Bad hatch on the Polish. But! They had two buff Brahma pullets needing homes, so they're coming here. Squee!
Brooder is set up, just fiddling with lamp placement for temp.
