From her infection she had her vent can only open about 1/4 inch. I saved her life in desperation with a piece of tubing that I modified and keep in her vent so she can poo. She has scar tissue built around her vent that she could never lay an egg. What’s horrible is she is so healthy and sweet other than her vent . I was really hoping the implants would work

How long are they suppose to work? I had no idea that poor baby.

From what I researched I was thinking 4 months minimum for a duck her size it hasn’t even been 3 . She’s still living inside and only gets evenings out to play with her sisters which they all love so much. Now this

Does she seem to be in distress?

No she’s totally fine now because I put her “piece” in and she had a huge poo. She just had her snack and she’s happy and snuggly as always.

This is what it looks like . It has evolved from the original one I mad that I saved her with. She almost died cuz she couldn’t poo. So I keep this in and she has been thriving. Totally healthy . Now I gotta come up with a plan to stop to eggs and get this one out I was really hoping the implants would have worked

I will keep you posted. If they can’t get her in I’ll have to break it and get her an antibiotic. I’m not giving up on this little sweetie.
