Well I candled and weighed all mine tonite. All 7 ducks and final turkey appear to be well. Good movement in all of them. I'm a little perplexed by the weight loss. I assume the porousness of some eggs has caused my differences. By day 21, the target loss is 11.76%. I have one that has only lost 8.71% but I have one that has already lost 14%. I was shooting for total loss of 14% at day 25. The rest are between 10-13%, which I'm ok with.
Also most of the eggs look very full, as I would expect by now, but a couple have a good bit of clear area in the bottom (with blood vessels running through it). While others are alot more full down closer to the bottom.
What do you make of that?
Oh, and the ones with more clear on the bottom, I can see "pushing" action from the bottom. I hope these 2 babies aren't upside down!
I decided to put the lower loss ones in one corner, and the ones with higher weight loss in another corner. I added a little water to the corner that already has sufficient weight loss. I have fan circulation, so I don't know that this will help, but we'll see.
Maybe I'm just being too scientific! But I really want to figure out what works for me.
