I would hold off on misting, if you don't do it from the start it seems like it can cause them to get sticky really bad, but try to do it at least once a week..Ok I will upload pics tomorrow when I can get to Internet. 1 egg quit tonight. NOT the horrible one. I can mist. Should I mist after wiping eggs, or raise humidity?s
NOPE will raise the humidity once we get closer to the due date, it will just harm them right now..Ok I will upload pics tomorrow when I can get to Internet. 1 egg quit tonight. NOT the horrible one. I can mist. Should I mist after wiping eggs, or raise humidity?s
GOOD, got to get as much as you can off of those eggs. Good job.Smell comes from eggs not bator. Very good movement in all 4 eggs. Smell has lessend from yesterday. Used coarse ish washcloth, dry, misted eggs, wiped eggs. Removed 85% of gunk. Smell had dissipated before wipe down.
I have had several people wash the eggs before throwing them in the bator and the number one thing I hear back, because I'm a seller is "you sold me unfertlied eggs". lol, So i would not suggest to anyone about washing them..The article was about using it on hatching eggs.![]()

How's the smell? has it gone away?Sticky I can work with. Bacteria I need to fight... Pics and update tomorrow.
BUT here's the HUGE issue, once you do it once, YOUR ADDICTED. LOL. you just keep trying and trying. LOL. People love a good challange and once's your successful, it's a wonderful accomplishment. And people wonder why I don't want to hatch eggs and raise baby chicks. There are so many variables and challenges involved, on a good day. This hasn't been good days here. God Bless you, caesergirl, for taking this on and trying to keep these eggs viable, giving these developing chicks a chance to thrive.
