Ok so I'm a judge so I know these don't count. But seriously aren't these just the most amazing eggs. Just got them in from Fitz farms Wheaten Maran eggs

Soooooo many beautiful eggs, wish you could set a dial and have them lay as needed. My Astralopes lay speckled but I think the Welsummers and Marans, EE have this one sewn up! Congrats to all.

Okay. Folks, I have to tell you that it took me a few days on this, as there were so many awesome entries!
In the end, I kept going back to the title of the contest - "EXTREME" speckly eggs. While there were some drop-dead gorgeous speckled eggs, it's the opinion of the judges that the most EXTREME speckly egg(s) submitted were those of...
lauralou! We felt your eggs were the most extreme due to the large size & randomness of the speckles. Congrats!! Please PM me your address for your 2011 BYC calendar!
ALSO - we'd like to note some honorable mentions:
sjisty - your egg that had no color on one end varying to very dark on the other came in a very close 2nd!
kathyinmo - we also felt your eggs were extreme - and gorgeous!
megshenut - unusual color & very pretty pic!
princesschicken - if that ain't the PURDIEST olive egg I've ever seen!
