Hello,
IS IT MAREKS?? this is my fear that she has the ocular Mareks, she came from a flock where one of the chickens had "gray eye" meaning his pupils were like a gray coloured star burst, instead of the the typical dark brown. I didn't know it at the time until I started researching Mareks. I shouldn't have bought her when I saw that because now all my chickens could have it............
I've posted before about my silkie with the swollen gunky eye. I've been treating the eye with polysporin three times a day. The gunk is gone and the swelling has gone down. She has no other symptoms, no rasping or gunk anywhere else, no abnormal poo. I've quarantined her (had to take away her chicks but she's sitting on some eggs so hopefully she's not too stressed about the chicks.)
Anyway, now that the eye is on the mend can I put the chicks back with her? How long should I continue the polysporin? Today will be day 3. She's not going to drop dead because I missed something is she?
What do I do??????
