Anybody know what type of eye infection this is? Doesn’t really seem to be eye worm but not 100% sure. Any diagnosis and treatment suggestions would be appreciated!

He has a swollen eye from either a peck wound, something that has gotten in his eye, or he might have conjunctivitis (pinkeye) from a sinus or respiratory disease. Eye worm is usually seen in tropical regions where the Surinam cockroach lives, since that is one of the hosts.

Does he have any pus in the eye, sneezing or coughing, gasping, or wheezing? His nostril looks clean, but are you seeing any drainage?

Are those insect bites on his comb or peck marks?

Thank you for you

Thank you for your help! That’s just peck marks. Yah no sneezing and some puss comes out of his eye. His vitals seem solid just his eye. There’s like a white thing by his eye but it doesn’t look like a worm

I would wash his eye out with saline and put some Terramycin Eye Ointment or plain Neosporin into the eye twice a day. Remove any pus. This is a video on how to express pus from behind the eye (caution: very graphic!)

If you are in Hawaii or another tropical area, you can treat for eye worms just in case. Get Valbazen sheep and cattle wormer from a feed store or online. Mix some Valbazen (about 1/2 ml) in a syringe half and half with water or saline, and instill in both eyes. Then give 1/2 to 3/4 ml of Valbazen orally. In 10 days repeat the oral and the eye treatment.
