Eye infection????

The first application went well. I caught her and held her still while my daughter squeezed a line of ointment across her eye and "blinked" her so it got good coverage. She wasn't pleased to be held, but was wagging her tail and sat still for us. The eye is already looking better, so I hope a few more applications will do it. It is a small flock of 7 and they have a kiddy pool and a deep bucket so she has opportunity to wash it off good.
Maybe put ACV in her head washing bucket and apply the ointment at night before they go to bed that way it will stay on over night. 1-2 Tab of ACV in 1 gal of water for washing the head. Glad you are already noticing improvement.

Glad it's starting to get better!

Did your girls eye finally clear up Mrs H? sorry if you posted already and I missed it.

Yes it had cleared up few days after using the ointment! Then about that time noticed one of the girls going bald lol, the drakes are now in their own pen and everyone is living happily ever after :)

Happy to hear it. Since i couldn't separate any more I had to re home 2 of my drakes, broke my heart they both hatched here but the fighting

so now the flock is much quieter and peaceful, except for the geese they like to keep things stirred up. Then yesterday I was sitting up by the pool waiting for it to fill and my duck got into the pool with the gander, well I guess she must have been missing the drake.

I only have the one drake and he hasn't quite realized the other 2 aren't here still so he doesn't venture out to the pool yet. keeps looking over his shoulder. oops he doesn't have shoulders.[I've had way too much coffee this morning]

Awww :( lol someone has to keep things stirred up! Yeah I have no more room for anymore ducks either, although I still want some runners I could possibly add on somewhere lol! Right now my run is divided into 3, my 5 girls, my 2 new KC (which I think I have a male n female) then the 2 pekin drakes. I was only suppose to have just the 2 Pekins lol

Glad to report the pekin girl seems to have made a full recovery. I had trouble figuring out which one it was just now when I went out to check her. I think it was already starting to heal on its own, but the ointment didn't cause any harm and may have sped it along some. Good to know if there are any other eye issues with the poultry.
