My Buckeye Rexi has some sort of eye infection.
I have had two different medicines recommended to me (not by a vet, by chicken people). One is Liquamycin LA-200, which is an injectable given twice, dosed three days apart. The other is Terramycin, an eye ointment applied multiple times a day (I don’t know exactly how often).
The injectable would be better because it does requires less frequent application, but I’ve never done an injection so I would need help, and also where does one get the needles?
The ointment would be easier to apply, and slightly cheaper, but application would be more challenging due to current life circumstances.
Any thoughts? Is one clearly better?
