Hatched by my broody hen. No other symptoms. Not there yesterday. How old is the chick? Did it come from a breeder? It may have conjunctivitis from a respiratory disease, or swelling from a peck wound or something that has gotten into the eye to cause inflammation and swelling. Look into the eye for any debris, and look around the eye for any signs of a peck.
Do you see any sneezing or heavy breathing? MG or mycoplasma can be a cause of respiratory infection. Tylan 50 injectable can be used orally in chickens if you are treating MG. Dosage is 1/4 ml 2 or 3 times a day for up to 5 days.
